At that moment, Jordan's voice echoed through the forest. He was in trouble! Ava franticly looked past Kanza towards the meadow. "I have to go!" She leaped and flew off, towards Jordan. She approached the tree line with caution.

Her eyes widened. It was PETER! At first she thought Jordan was in trouble!.... But on a closer inspection, it was Peter! Jordan had him pinned on the ground holding him by the neck! Quickly Ava raced over to him, flying fast.

"Jordan!" Ava called.

Jordan looked over at Ava in surprise. She landed between them on Peter's chest. Face to face with Jordan.

"Ava! What are you doing?!" Jordan asked in shock. "I caught this guy following us!" His eyes turned towards Peter angrily.

"Jordan, please, just let me talk to him." Jordan huffed and grabbed a small gun that Peter had strapped to a holster on his side. He got up slowly, pointing it to his face. Peter just lay there with his hands down. His nose was bleeding a bit and he had a few scratches filled with dirt on his forehead.

"Touch her, and your DEAD!" Jordan spat.

Ava looked at Peter, He looked back. "A-A- Ava." He started.

"JUST STOP!" Ava silenced. He shut up. Walking right up to his face Ava glared. His gaze was fixed, even a bit scared. Jordan was amused.
"You cant control me." Ava assured him slowly so that it could sink in. It did.

"I-I never wanted to control you." Peter said.

"Than what did you want?" She asked.

He hesitated.

"Why are you following us!?" Jordan added.

"I was ordered to- to spy on you, and find Ava's people!" Peter replied. "But I don't want to hurt you. I want to help you."

"How can we trust YOU?!" Jordan asked.

"I know...." He looked ashamed of himself.

When Peter and Ava first met he came across as kind, even though he was working for them. She sensed goodness in him, just as she did Waters.

Ava remembered one day when she was
training. The room was filled with obstacles.   She was training in the art of evasion. Multiple people tried to catch her. Her wings had grown enough to leap longer distances, but her confidence got the best of her. while  training, she fell to the ground and was injured badly.   Bleeding and scuffed, she was disappointed in herself and her useless wings.... but... without hesitation Peter rushed over to her and scooped her up. He lifted Ava gently and carried her away to doctor her up.... all the while letting Ava know that she was doing great even though she failed the test.

Ava never told him about Warren or her parents, but he seemed to understand her in a strange way. It hurt Ava to see him like this, but deep down she knew that Peter was still dangerous.

"Ava..... I'm sorry..... Please." He pleaded

Ava looked down, not knowing what to say. Could she trust him?
