TW:Unsympathetic Deceit, mentions of Toxic Relationship
Roman's POV

Virgil clings to my chest like a lifeline. I rub his back while he sobs uncontrollably. He just got out of a toxic relationship, and now is frightened that he may have to raise his baby alone. I hold him tightly, wanting to aid him as much as I can. I text Patton that he and Logan can come in to see Virge when they want.

He popped up in the light side of the mind hours ago, sobbing. He clung to me before I could think straight. I carried him to my room while Patton and Logan looked confused. He left to go be with him months ago, and we didn't expect to see Virgil come back so soon.

"Ro... it hurts so, so bad. He never cared. I loved him so much." Virgil whimpers.

"He didn't deserve you. You don't need him, he isn't worthy of being upset over." I whisper, holding him tightly.

"Thanks, Ro. I'm sorry I'm bothering you with this." He says sleepily.

"No need to apologize, storm cloud! I will always be here for you." I exclaim dramatically, earning a small giggle which makes my heart melt.

"...love you." Virgil whispers as he slowly falls asleep.

"I love you too." I whisper and kiss his forehead gently.

Patton knocks on the door lightly and I text him to open it. He walks in cautiously, Logan behind him.

"Is he okay?" He whispers.

"He will be. I'm going to kill Deceit in cold blood." I grit at the mention of the trait.

"What did he do?" Pat asks softly.

"I'll let Virgil tell you when he's ready. For now, he needs plenty of love." I tell him, moving Virgil's bangs out of his eyes.

Time skip until Virgil wakes up

I absentmindedly play with Virgil's hair, getting some work done on my laptop with my other. I stop when he stirs, not wanting to wake him up by moving. He moves some more, laying his head against my chest.

"Ro?" He whispers after a few minutes of silence.

"Yes?" I ask quietly.

"I'm sorry you had to see me like that." He squeaks softly.

"It's quite alright Brandon Eerie." I tell him, placing a soft kiss on his temple out of instinct.

He looks at me hesitantly, a slight bit of fear in his deep brown eyes. It takes a moment for me to figure out what I've done. He lays back on my chest quietly, pecking my jaw softly.

"I love you." He whispers, barely audible.

"I love you too." I say, a bit worried that he's pushing himself too far by starting a new relationship so soon.

"Where's Lo and Pat?" He asks after a few minutes of peace and quiet.

"They wanted to give you space until you woke up." I tell him, receiving a small nod.

"Can we go get a snack?" He asks quietly.

"Patton is most likely making cookies. Would you like some of those?" I ask, Virgil bouncing up instantly.

I offer my hand, which he takes sheepishly, and we walk down the hall together. Logan gives a nod of acknowledgement as we walk into the kitchen, drinking his coffee as per usual. All is calm and we eat breakfast in comfortable silence.

Now, you may be wondering, where's the catch? The drama? The excitement? Well, dear reader that creepily follows our lives, there isn't one. For the next nine months things only improve. The baby comes and she's gorgeous. I adopt her as my own and all is good.

Now, you may be wondering where we are currently. I need to rebuild the forth wall before we discuss that. See you again in the next chapter dear reader, whenever that may come. (The author really needs to step up their game.)

Ten years after Virgil returns.

I pace the floor nervously. I've waited for this moment all my life and it's finally here. I am getting married to the man that I love. He's most likely nervously fidgeting (not that I'm any better), the anxiety probably getting to him. I take a breath and give Logan a nervous smile, him giving a small nod in return.

I step out, and walk down the isle. I wait for about five minutes before my daughter happily bounces the petals down the isle. My heart completely stops the moment I see him. My beautiful fiancé (you thought it was Deceit, didn't you?) walking down the isle in his dark purple suit.

I love this man, so very much. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.
