Virgil paces nervously outside of his and his husband's bathroom door. He tries to not let Patton hear him walking around, knowing Pat is just as nervous. He twists his wedding ring around his finger subconsciously, hearing Patton's quiet alarm from the bathroom.

"Virgil?" Pat asks after washing his hands and opening the door.

"Can you check the results? I'm too scared." He asks nervously, hugging Virgil tightly and hiding his face in Vee's chest.

Virge nods and kisses his forehead. He picks his husband up gently and goes to check the test.

Within the next five minutes they've both in tears, in a near suffocating hug. These two have mentioned kids a lot up to this point, so they're very very excited to have a baby on the way. Pat is babbling how much he loves Virgil, and Virge isn't too much better. These dorks couldn't be happier, besides their wedding day.

Virge carries Pat to bed bridal-style, covering his face with kisses. Pat giggles in his cute way, wrapping his arms around Vee's neck to support himself.

All is good, things are calm.

Did you forget who we're talking about? Nope, no calm for them. Remus and Roman storm to their room, banging on their door before letting themselves in. Janus and Logan follow in their usual exasperation with their boyfriends.

"He's wrong and he knows it!" Roman shouts, glaring daggers at his brother.

"You are a slut! You just need to accept it Roman!" Remus shouts right back.

"They'll back me up on this!" Roman says triumphantly, motioning for the confused two they've interrupted.

Virge notices Pat gently hide his face in the crook of his neck. "You're both stupid, you're scaring him." He says firmly, holding Pat close with strong arms.

"Come on, Vee! We just need unbiased input!" Ro defends.

"Go." Vee states, earning dramatic sighs.

Pat gives him a thankful look.

"Ro was a bit of a slut a while back." Vee 'coughs' under his breath as they turn to leave.

Pat giggles at Lo shuts the door behind them after pulling the now dying laughing Remus away.

Two week timeskip.

Roman whined about the comment for the next two weeks every time he saw Virge, making Remus laugh at him more. So now that the married couple decided to tell their roommates about their baby, Logan and Janus have had to tell the two to shut up to let them speak too many times to count.

"Ro, please hush." Pat asks quietly, hiding in Virgil's hoodie.

"Roman, shut it." Virge says sternly.

He wraps his arms around his husband, gently kissing his temple. Pat smiles up at him softly, loving the ginormous increase of cuddles as of recent. Ro sulks into the couch, but shuts his mouth for the moment.

"Can you tell them?" Pat whispers into Vee's ear.

Virge nods, kissing him softly before looking up. "We are trying to tell you guys that we're having a baby, if you'd let us." Virge says.

Roman squeals, asking a lot of questions about the nursery design for a baby that isn't bigger than a poppy seed. Pat looks at Vee nervously, not ready for that many questions.

"Ro, calm down." Janus scolds, flicking the back of Roman's ear. "Congratulations." Jay says, earning a thankful smile from Pat.

Two months later.

Virge walks down the hall to get the newest craving for Pat and the baby. The two have gotten 'Creepily close' as Remus would and has put it. Lo sits on the counter, eating Crofters by the spoonful. Remus argues with Roman on the couch, Jay having given up trying to stop it and instead pouring himself a large glass of his 'What life decisions led me to dating one of those idiots?' wine. He actually calls it that. The first time he did, Roman got extremely offended.

Virge gives Lo a two-finger salute before Patton pokes his head out of his jacket. Lo does a quick double-take but goes back to his jelly. Virge makes the strange concoction, Patton instructing him. Remus walks in and sits next to Lo.

"You're like kangaroos." He says, kissing Lo's forehead.

Virge and Pat look up in sync, nearly choking Logan when he laughs. Pat cuddles into Vee's chest, watching him finish making the 'food'. Virge doesn't classify some of the stuff Pat makes as actual food. He gets himself some snacks as well.

"Are we still doing movie night?" Janus asks, earning nods.

They sit and pick something out, Patton and Logan falling asleep halfway through. Virge moves him to a comfortable position to be carried. He throws away their trash and puts Patton's bowl in the dishwasher before saluting the others and carrying Pat to bed.

Another four months.

Ro and Janus have started to consistently tease Virge about how clingy and protective he is. When the baby first started kicking and Remus made a joke that made Pat cry, the face Virge made nearly gave him a heart attack. They joked about that one a lot.

Pat is almost always being carried or cuddled. The only time that either he or Virge can remember being apart is while using the bathroom, and that's mainly it. Vee works from home while Pat is on maternity leave, so they rarely leave by themselves. They don't mind it, even though Lo regularly asks how they haven't gotten bored of always seeing each other or going nuts.

Pat adores how sweet Virge is through everything, while Virge scares the crap out of people with how aggressive he is about taking care of his family.

Another time skip

When Patton starts labor, Virge is quick to do anything asked and follow every instruction Pat gives. After a sixteen hour labor and seven hour delivery, Pat holds their baby girl in his arms, happy tears pouring down his cheeks. To be honest, Virge isn't better, kissing Patton sweetly and staring at their baby in complete awe.

"Little Evergreen." Pat whispers softly, stroking her cheek.

Virge smiles brightly at him, loving the name. They sign the birth certificate together, Virgil picking out her middle name.

Two week timeskip (that's the fifth one, Jebus)

Virge quietly opens the front door to their house, setting the baby bag down and smiling at seeing their excited friends waiting. He motions for them to be quiet as Patton slowly walks in with a purple bundle.

They sit, and gently move the blanket to reveal their baby girl. The group chats for a bit, she gets passed around, then things settle again.

"I worry about her. She'll forever be spoiled by her scary dad." Remus teases.

"If you're scared of me, then I'm doing my job right." Virge teases back, making Patton giggle.
