"Looking for me?" She laced her hands with his. He instantly turned around, blushing as a small smile formed.

She pulled him towards the cafeteria. Sam knew they would garner attention, but if she stayed hiding, what would that do?

He paused in reluctance. She squeezed his hand. "It'll be okay. I'm here."

Sam inhaled and opened the door. Everyone's eyes remained on the two.

She pulled him behind her. Was comforted by his presence. She grabbed two plates. Had asked him what he wanted. Filled his plate for him.

He seemed amazed as he sat on the chair. The sun shined through the transparent windows.

The anxiety has slowly began to disappear. She won't allow herself to be vulnerable. She wanted to face every obstacle. She's going to keep holding his hand tightly.

All the stares from the students didn't matter. His tranquil stare, his smile that made her feel the bravest person alive, is what really mattered at this moment.

She gazed at the poster plastered on the wall, then averted her eyes back to him, "D-do you want to go to the dance?"
