She stood, feeling slightly nervous.
"A boyfriend?" Both of her parents inquire simultaneously.
"I knew it!" Her brother jumped up.
Sam slowly nodded, "... yes, and there's a dance next w-"
"Woah... woah.. now hold on," her Dad cut her off holding up his index finger, "Sam. A boyfriend? Since when?"
"It hasn't been long..."she muttered, "but he's a really great person-"
"Well, then we'll have to see for our own."
"Dad... come on."
"I would like to meet him."
Sam freezes. Her heads start to spin. How is this even going to happen? How is she supposed to explain to her parents. About the boy.
"Just after the dance, please?"
He gets up, ostensibly to walk away. "I would like to meet him before the dance, Sam. We'll talk about this when I get back from work." He says over his shoulders.
Sam looks down, " Alright..."
It'll be fine. She reassures herself. But will it really be fine?
Will he be fine? Will he be comfortable?
