FORTH POV
_______________
I unlocked the room to my dorm and trudged inside, walking to my bed and falling onto it face first. I turned my head slightly to look at the clock. It read 10:47. I sighed deeply and closed my eyes.
I had just got home for a SOTUS activity, after a long day of exams. The freshman this year were probably the worst class there has ever been in hazing history. They didn't listen to any instructions. I was just glad I had the others beside me, or I might have accidentally killed one on purpose. Now, I just wanted to sleep until tomorrow night.
I felt myself drifting off when my phone began to ring. I groaned and pulled it out of my back pocket. I checked the ID before answering. It was my mother.
"Hello." I answered.
"Forth, dear son. Are you coming home this break? I know everyone wants to see. It's been so long. You never seem to have free time, and now that you do you can come to visit." My mother said with too much cheer, for this hour at night, in her voice. I sighed again.
I hadn't been to visit my parents in almost a year. I know it sounds like I am a horrible child, but that's really not the case. Every time I would go to visit them in the past I would always get the same old questions. Do you have a girlfriend? Are you guys planning on getting married? Do you need help finding a girlfriend? Have you seen the neighbors daughter? Is it so bad that I didn't want to be pressured into marriage while I am still in high school?
I knew that if I didn't go this break that my mom would be upset, so I gave in.
"Of course I will. I will pack and head down tomorrow if that sounds okay." I suggested. I heard her chuckle softly.
"That sounds wonderful sweetheart. I'll tell everyone, and we'll see you when you get here." She said. I nodded to know one and smiled.
"I love you, mom."
"I love you too."
"I love you most."
"I love you more than most. Don't even try to win." My mom said scoffing. I laughed and nodded again.
"I know I never will."
"You right. Good night, Forth. I'll see you tomorrow." She said.
"Night, mom." I said before hanging up the phone and throwing beside me on the bed. I moved and positioned myself so my head was now laying on my pillow. I closed my eyes and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.

The next morning I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ear. I hadn't put my phone on the table last night, so it had somehow moved up and was laying next to my head. I groaned and grabbed it, and slid the red button across the screen until it stopped. I sat up slowly and rubbed my eyes. I sighed and lazily got out of bed. I grabbed a towel from my closet and walked to the bathroom to take a shower.
After my shower I wrapped the towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom. When I opened the door I got a whiff of what smelled like pancakes and eggs. The perfect American breakfast. That could only mean one thing.
"Surprise!" Anna yelled coming out of the kitchen, holding a plate of, as I expected, pancakes and eggs.
"Anna, what are you doing here?" I asked trying to cover up my chest a little with my arms.
Anna was another reason that I never went to visit my parents. Anna was my ex-girlfriend. We had dated for about six months and had been broken up for about three. I had brought her to meet my parents once and they bombarded us with questions about marriage. While I was dating her I never went back.
