FORTH POV

Beam is attractive. I’m not gonna lie.

He skin constantly looks like it is shining. His body looks like it was sculpted by a god with amazing artistic skills. His dark hair was styled in a way that made his bangs fall onto his forehead. His build was amazing. He didn’t really look like he had many muscles but looked like he could handle himself well.

He was gay too? He probably had men falling for him left and right.

“Forth?” Prae called, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked at her. “What do you think of P’Beam?” She asked tilting her head. He was hot.

“He’s nice.” I replied. She smiled and nodded.

“I think so too. I really like him. He was telling me all thee stories about guys he had dated and all these dates he has been on. It’ll be great to have someone like him in the family.” She said smiling wide at her thoughts. “Why can’t you be gay?” She asked out of nowhere. I laughed nervously and looked at her.

    “What?” I questioned. She shrugged.

“Just thinking. You guys look really good together. You would make a cute BL couple.” She said smiling wide. “And I know mom and dad want you to marry Beer, but you and Beam should be endgame.” She said. I looked at her with extreme confusion now. Marry Beer?

“Marry Beer?” I asked voicing my thoughts. Prae nodded like it was obvious before stopping and looking at me with wide eyes.

“Oh my god. You didn’t know.” It wasn’t a question but a statement. “Shit. Mom’s gonna kill me.” She said rubbing her hands down her face.

“Watch your mouth. Why do they want me to marry Beer?” I asked. She laughed nervously and shrugged.

“I don’t know. You broke up with your last girlfriend and still don’t have another one. Mom and dad are growing restless. They want you to get married. They introduced Beer to you in hopes that you might have underlying feelings from when you guys were younger. Okay so maybe I do know.” She explained.

“We were eight.” I exclaimed. “What kind of feelings would we have for each other?” I groaned and threw my head back onto my pillow.

“I’m sorry, P’Forth.” I tried to get them to give you more time, but they aren’t listening to me. Which is weird because they listen more to me than you.” She said laying down next to me. “Maybe, you should date a guy and change their minds.” She said turning to me and smiling. I laughed and pushed her face away from me.

“Nice try. I’m not gonna be a part of your fantasies.” I said laughing. She laughed and shook her head.

“No, I didn’t mean for my benefit only. I just meant because that might help mom and dad get off your back.” I laughed again and shook my head.

“I’m not gay.”

The next morning I woke up to my alarm blaring in my ear. I didn’t really feel like getting up, but when my mom came barging into the room I had no choice.

“Get up. Take a shower and get dressed. We were invited to breakfast by the Baramee’s.” She said quickly before exiting. I groaned again and slowly rolled of my bed and onto the floor. I crawled on my knees to my closet, grabbed a towel and clothes, and crawled to the bathroom. Who needs walking this early in the morning?

After taking my shower I got dressed and made my way downstairs and we left.

When we reached the restaurant they were already there and sitting at a table. We made our way and sat down. The parents talked for a little while about whatever. I didn’t really listen until it was Beams turn to speak.

“Beam,” My mom said speaking up to him. “Your mother tells me that you are a med student.” She said looking at him with a wide smile. I look to him as well as he answers.

“Yes. I’m in my third year of college right now.” He said nodding. I smiled to myself as I sat back in my seat.

“That’s wonderful. What made you want to study to be a doctor?” She asked. Beam laughed before answering.

“In the begginging, it was really my friend who pushed me to love it. After high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do and my best friend, Phana, dragged me to the same college as him. Something about it just made me fall in love with it, so I stayed.” He explained. I could, by her smile, that mom was falling in love with him.

I couldn’t blame her though. He looked amazing today. He was wearing a light blue button-down shirt and a pair of black dress pants. His hair was styled the same as last night. My thoughts were interrupted by a boy walking up to the table and interrupting our conversation to talk to Beam.

“Bank?” He questioned and looked around at all of us.

“Bank? The one you told us about?” His mom asked looking up at the boy and smiling.

Was this possibly his date from yesterday? I didn’t like him. He looked like a douche bag.

“You talk about me?” Bank asked looking down at Beam. And I was right. He had a major ego, and you could tell just from the way that he asked that.

“Yeah. Of course.” He answered smiling before looking away. Was Beam not interested in him either?

“We were telling Beam that he should bring you to meet us. How about dinner next Thursday?” His said throwing out a suggestion. I heard Beam sigh softly and smiled to myself.

“That would be wonderful.” Bank said smiling back at his Beam’s mom.

They talked for a few more minutes before Bank excused himself to got back to his table with his friends.

There was something about that guy that I didn’t like. He just seemed like a jerk. And I didn’t like him with Beam.
