BEAM POV

The next morning I woke up with a killer headache. I had to let my eyes adjust a little before actually opening them. Why I did I realized that I wasn't in my room, but Forth’s.

I sat up and heard the water from the shower running. I groaned and laid back down. How did I get here? What even happened last night?

“You're up.” Forth’s voice made me jump and sit back up again. I hadn't even heard the water shut off. He was standing at his closet with a towel wrapped around his waist, and water dripping down from every part of him.

“How did I get here?” I asked.

“You called me last night. You were pretty drunk. I came and got you.” He said shrugging like it was nothing.

“Are you okay?” I asked standing up and walking over to him. I raised my hand to his shoulder and gave a small squeeze. He shrugged it off and walked back into the bathroom. I scoffed.

“Did I do something?” I asked as he shut the door. He didn't answer me. “Fort, are seriously going to ignore me?” I questioned. The door flung open.

“Why don't you tell me what's wrong with you?” He said walking outbox the bathroom and moving closer to me. “Huh? What? You can only tell me when you're drunk?” I looked at him confused.

“What are you talking about?” I questioned.

“I'm talking about you sitting on some random guys lap with your arms around him like he’s your boyfriend. You letting him touch you. That’s what I’m talking about.” He said raising his voice a little. I looked at him confused. I didn’t remember doing any of that.

“I did that?” I asked in a quiet voice. He sighed deeply and sat on the bed with his head in his hands.

“Yes. You called me at the wee hours of the night asking me what I meant yesterday and that you didn’t understand. When I went to pick you up last night you said that I had no right to be mad. That we weren’t even dating.” When he finished talking he finally looked back up at me again. He stood up and slowly backed me up into the closet. Forth caged me with his hands on either side of my head. “Why didn’t you tell me that you were upset.”

My voice got caught in my throat. I wanted to say something but I couldn’t. All I could manage was: “Because.”

“I thought we already made it clear that I love you.” He said moving his head closer to mine.

“We did.” I said clearing my throat. “But that doesn’t mean that we are dating, apparently.” I said crossing my arms and turning my head away from him.

He grabbed my chin lightly and made me look at him. I could feel his breath on my lip. That’s how close he was. If he moved any closer than we would be kissing.

“Be my boyfriend.” He said whispering softly. “And when we’re ready, marry me.” He said looking me in the eyes. He didn’t even let me reply before pressing his lips softly to mine.

My arms fell to my side and I leaned into the kiss to deepen it. He didn’t let me though. He pulled away before I could.

“So, what do you say?” He asked. I smiled and nodded. “Good, cause I thought I was gonna have to do something to make you change your mind.” He said whispered in my ear. I chuckled and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“You can still do those things, you know.” I said smiling wide. Forth tsked and shook his head, unhooking my arms from around his neck.

“Sorry. No can do. You said yes.” He said moving away. I grabbed his arm and pulling him back to me.

“Fine. I take it back. No. I don’t want that.” I said. Forth smiled and shook his head. He leaned down and kissed my neck softly. I tilted my head to give him more access. He chuckled against my neck. “I love you.” He said before placing another kiss. “You’re handsome.” Another kiss. “I want to spend as much time of my life with you that I can.” Another kiss.

“Forth.” I whisper cuping the side of his face and bringing it fasce to face with mine. “I love you. I want to be with you. Be your boyfriend, and when the time comes, I want to marry you.” I said kissing him. He laughed when I pulled away.

“That wasn’t that hard to change your mind.” He said. I laughed and slapped him in the arm.

“Before we decide to get married, though, maybe we should go on a date. What do you say?” I asked hugging him around his neck. He smiled and nodded.

“I say let’s go.” He said kissing me.
