Chapter 16

FORTH POV

    I sat in my car dialing Beam’s number. I had texted him many times last night and he hadn’t replied. I had tried to call Beer but she said that it was best if I didn’t try and talk to Beam. I wanted to explain to him what he saw last night because what he thought he saw wasn’t what was really happening.

FLASHBACK

    I hung up the phone with Beam and laid back in bed. I wanted to see him but I was super tired. I closed my eyes but they shot back open when my bedroom door flew open. Anna walked in.

    “What the hell are you doing here?” I asked sitting up in bed. She laughed and moved over to sit on the bed.

    “Take me back. Touch me. I’ll touch you.” She begged. I groaned and shook my head.

    “I told you I like someone.” I said trying to stand up. She grabbed my arm and pulled me back down. She ran her hand down my chest.

    “I can make you like me more.” She said. I was about to say something but the door opened and Beam stood in the doorway.

END OF FLASHBACK

    I didn’t mean for him to mistake it. I tried to go after him but he was to fast.

    “Why is him seeing us so important?” Anna asked. I sighed loudly. “I thought you didn’t like Beer. Why be afraid he is going to tell her?”

    “I don’t like Beer!” I yelled at her. “I like Beam. Beam. Okay? Now leave.” I said sternly. She looked at me surprised. She didn’t say anything and walked out. “Shit!” I yelled pushing the papers off my desk.

    I grabbed my phone and dial Beam’s number again. No answer.

    I grabbed my keys and headed over to Beam’s house. When I got there his car wasn’t there so I knew he probably wasn’t there, but I had to take a chance. I knocked on the door and waited for it to be answered.

    “What are you doing here, Forth?” Beer asked when she opened the door. I sighed deeply.

    “I need to talk to Beam. Is he here?” I asked. She chuckled and rolled her eyes.

    “He isn’t here. And even if he was I wouldn’t let you in.” She said. I closed my eyes.

    “Please. I need to talk to him. I need to explain to him and tell him that nothing is going on between Anna and me.” I said. She scoffed and shook her head.

    “Not a chance.” She said closing the door. I put my hand forward to stop the door.

    “I love him!” I yelled. She stopped closing the door. “I love him.” I said in a lower voice. She opened the door back up and eyes me.

    “What about Anna?” She asked. I sighed and shook my head.

    “I don’t like her. We broke up months ago. I love Beam. He walked in at the wrong time.” I explained. She nodded to me.

    “He went back to his dorm at the college.” She said. I smiled wide at her and kissed her on the cheek.

    “Thank you so much.” I said running back out to my car and began heading to Beam’s dorm. I had Beer text me where the address.

    I was almost there when it started raining. I groaned and turned on the windshield wipers. A few minutes later the traffic picked up. You have got to be kidding me.
