FORTH POV

“Oh come on. There was no reason for them to be together. They were the worst couple of the whole movie.” Beam argued against me when we were leaving the movie theater.

“They weren’t that bad.” I argued back. He grabbed me by my arm and swung me to face him.

“If you ever treat me like he treated that girl, don’t think that for even one second I won’t drop you.” When he said it I knew he was dead serious. I laughed and grabbed his hands, pulling him to me and kissing him softly on both cheeks.

“I would never treat you like that.” I said kissing his lips and smiling at him wide. He smiled and nodded.

“Good. Now, let’s go home so we can eat some good homemade dinner.” He said intertwining his fingers in one of my hands and pulled me along. I smiled and followed behind him.

Once we arrived back at the house everyone was already sitting around the table eating.

“How was your date?” Mom asked looking up at us and smiling. We both nodded and smiled at each other.

“Well, come sit and eat.” She said gesturing for us to sit down. We both smiled and took our seats next to one another.

“Now that ou guys are back I think that this is the perfect time to talk about marriage.” My dad said. I could feel Beam tense next to me. I grabbed his hand underneath the table.

“We think you’re right.” I said looking up at everyone. They all looked at us with wide eyes, not expecting us to agree. “Beam and I have been talking and thinking. We want to get married.” I said looking over to Beam who was smiling softly.

“That’s wonderful.” My mom said laughing.

“But not right now.” I said interrupting her little celebration. Her smile faded slowly from her face. “Beam and I love each other, and when the time comes then we will get married. But we don’t want to rush anything.” I explained. Beam nodded beside me.

“Because we only just got together we want to take a little time before getting married to make sure that we truly want this.” Beam said. Mom’s smiled appeared back on her face. She reached her hand across the table and patted mine.

“I’m happy if you’re happy.” She said smiling wide. I nodded and smiled back to her.

“Let’s celebrate.” Beer said raising her glass. We laughed and raised our glasses with her. “To my wonderful brother Beam and, definitely, soon to be brother in law.”

“To Beam and Forth.” Everyone said before clinking their glasses and cheering. I looked over to Beam and smiled wide at him.

Maybe getting married wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Especially if it is to Beam.
