BEAM POV
Instead of being a little bitch about it, I decided to go and see Forth. Us running around each other and ignoring what happened the other night was getting old. I needed to see him. I needed to know his feelings for me.
When I arrived at Forth’s house I sat in the car for a few moments before getting out.
“You can do this. You can do this.” I whispered to myself. I walked up to the door and sighed deeply before knocking. A few seconds later Forth’s mom answered the door.
“Beam, sweetheart, Beer isn’t here.” She said. I chuckled softly and shook my head.
“I’m actually here to see Beam.” I said. She gasped before smiling wide.
“You guys have been bonding, haven’t you?” She asked. I chucked again and nodded.
“You could say that. I’m just here to speak with him about something.” I said. She nodded. She moved away to let me in and gestured for me to enter the living room.
“Forth, Beam is here!” She yelled up the stairs. A few moments later you could hear footsteps of what sounded like someone rushing to get somewhere fast.
“Beam.” Forth said as he entered the room. His cheeks were a little bit red and his hair was standing up on all different side, yet somehow, he was still attractive. “What are you doing here?” He asked. His mom looked between us before excusing herself.
“I came to talk to you about what happened the other night. It has been two days and we haven’t talked about it so I feel like we should.” I have no idea how I managed to get that out without my voice wavering or cracking under pressure.
“Oh.” Was all he said in reply. OH!? Oh, really?! It’s like when you send someone a really long message, pouring your heart out, and all you get in reply is oh or yea or really. ONLY THIS IS THE REAL LIFE VERSION!
“Yeah.” I said calmly. He nodded.
“What is there to talk about?” He asked. Is ThIs Guy KiDdInG mE?!
“What do you mean “what is there to talk about”? You kissed me.” I said in a kind of offensive tone. He just laughed and crossed his arm.
“If I remember correctly, which I do, you kissed back.” He said with a sly look on his face and a crooked smile that made me hate him but love him at the same time. LIKE! Like him at the same time.
When did he become so rude? I thought he w
as actually a nice guy.
“You’re a douche bag.” I said voicing my thoughts. “I can’t believe that for a split second I thought that I might actually like you.” I said before walking out of the house, without listening to anything he would have said.
I was driving back home when my phone began ringing. I sighed as I looked at the caller ID. It was Bank. Next to Forth he was the last person that I wanted to talk to. I sighed deeply before answering.
“What do you want, Bank?” I ask. I hear him sigh on the other end before he began talking.
“Beam, I am so sorry, okay. I swear that I didn’t mean to try and pressure you. I just had a little too much to drink. Please forgive me. Please.” Bank said begging me. I shook my head and looked down.
“Bank I really don’t have the time for this.” I said. I heard him sigh again.
“I know but Beam, please. Just meet with me and let's talk it out. After that, I’ll leave you alone. I promise.” He said. I knew he was going to keep begging me so it was better to go ahead and just give in now.
“I’ll meet you.” I said. I heard him let out a small chuckle before replying.
“Great. Just come over to my place around ten tonight.” He said before hanging up before I could have any chance to say anything else.
This was my chance. My chance to tell Bank that I don’t like him. I’ll go. We’ll talk. I’ll leave and then we’ll be done. Easy as that. If only dealing with Forth were that easy.
After arriving home I went straight upstairs to my room. Not long after, though, Beer cam barging in my room like a barbarian.
“What the hell?” I asked looking at her confused. She had her arms crossed over her chest and was giving me a weird glare.
“What did you tell Forth?” She asked. I sighed and shook my head.
“Look, I don’t have time to talk about that. I have homework to do and then I have to meet Bank at ten.” I said turning away from her and picking up my papers from my desk. I heard her scoff behind me.
“You’re still going out with Bank? What about Forth?” She asked. I sighed and threw my papers on my desk.
“Look, Beer. I’m not going out with Bank again. I’m meeting up with him to tell him that I don’t like him and that I don’t want to see him ever again. And the thing with Forth is nothing.” I said. She squinted her eyes at me, confused.
“What do you mean there is nothing between you and Forth?” She questioned.
“I mean exactly what I say. He made out. I went to talk to him and he was a complete douchebag about it. Now, can you go so I can work?” I asked turning away from her. She didn’t say anything but I heard the door slam, signaling her departure.
I worked for a good four hours before looking down at my watch. It was already 8:30. I had an hour and a half before I had to go meet Bank.
I was cleaning up my desk when my bedroom door opened. I sighed setting my papers down.
“Beer, I already told you everything there is to tell. Why can’t you just accept it?” I asked. She didn’t say anything so I turned around to look at her. But when I did it wasn’t her. It was Forth. “What are you doing here?” I asked in an annoyed tone. He sighed and shrugged.
“You ran out earlier so I came to talk to you.” He said. I sighed and shook my head.
“I can’t. I’m going to meet Bank.” I said pushing past him and grabbing my jacket.
“You are still seeing him?” Forth asked me with, what sounded like, hurt in his voice.
“Why does it matter to you?” I asked before leaving my room, and Forth, behind me.
I was not in the mood.
