Revelations, And A Brewing War

A seventeen year old Anakin had just exited his room and met with his master Obi-Wan as the two made their way to the Republic docking day for a surprise Owen had made for them. As they were walking, Master and Padawan talked about what surprise Owen might have for them.

Obi-Wan:Looks like your friend really wanted to show us something, didn't he?
Anakin:Yep. I'm really excited, master. I bet he's got something great for us.
Owen:Hey, you guys!
The Jedi pair turned to see Owen standing there, seeming more excited then usual.
Obi-Wan:Hello there, Owen.
Before Anakin and Obi-Wan could say anything else, they saw what Owen had made for them.

Two star fighters, a yellow one for Anakin and a red one for Obi-Wan, one astromechs included for each of them.
Anakin:Owen, this is a dream come true!
Obi-Wan:This is beyond anything I've imagined.
Owen:Yep. Hope you guys can use these well.
Anakin, placing an arm on Owen's shoulder, tell him that they will. Suddenly, the blue astromech named R2-D2 beeps over to Anakin as he takes the droid in almost immediately after Owen explained R2's past. Obi-Wan, immensely fond over R3-S1 rolling to him, took the red one in as well. When Obi-Wan and Anakin entered the council room after setting up their parking spaces for their new rides, they saw themselves in the middle of an argument between Chancellor Palpatine and Jedi Grandmaster Yoda.

Yoda:Enter a civil war that will consume the galaxy, we will not!
Palpatine:Peacekeeping is your job! Sitting on your chairs, sending your mindless drones of Jedi Masters, Knights, and Padawans out to do you dirty work, and enforcing your beliefs on the galaxy, is not peacekeeping!
Mace:Get out Chancellor, now!
Palpatine:Fine, you hypocritical, arrogant tyrants can just sit on your thrones and let the galaxy burn while I try to fix the galaxy!
Palpatine then storms out of the room, leading to Anakin chasing after the Chancellor.
Anakin:What's wrong, Chancellor?
Palpatine:The Jedi wish to sit on their thrones and stay neutral forever. Meanwhile, I finally decided to do something about the Separatist movement with a recruit call to young men and women who wish to protect their galaxy.
The Republic Chancellor said as he calmed down.
Anakin:You mean, an army?
Palpatine:Yes. The Jedi clearly are against change as usual and when I tried to get them to do their job, they get defensive once again.
Anakin:You've argued with them before?
Palpatine:Of course, millions of times Anakin.
Anakin and the Chancellor talked more about the flaws of the Jedi lifestyle. Palpatine even encourages Anakin to not listen to the Jedi's relationship restriction and to peruse his feelings towards Serra, with the only advice he has for Anakin is to be careful around the Jedi and to be cautious with going about his feelings. Obi-Wan checks in on the two for comfort but from reassurance from the two, Anakin and Obi-Wan jump on their starships to head to Geinosis. Their mission is to investigate Count Douku, a possible contributor to the Separatists. While investigating the building, the pair begin to converse with one another.
Obi-Wan:My master's master was an accomplished duelist, probably one of the best in the order.
Anakin:I see. I did read about him a little but I was often focused on my other studies, master.
Obi-Wan:Its ok. You may learn more about him soon, my apprentice.
Unknown:You wish to know all about me, hmm?
Suddenly, Count Douku made his way out of the shadows and introduced himself. Wanting to test the Jedi duo's abilities, Count Douku challenged the Jedi to a duel.
Douku:Defeat me, and I'll tell you why I left the order, as well as answer your other question. Fail, and you leave this place, never to return.
Said the Count as he activated his blue lightsaber, the blade coming out from his fancily crafted hilt.
