Vader and Sidious were in Sidious's private room aboard the Executioner as it was traveling to Alderaan. During the trip, the Sith duo were speaking.
Sidious:So, how is your armor?
Vader:Its perfect as it is.
Sidious:Do you mind if I tell you a story, Vader?
Sidious got no response from his second in command, giving him the ok to tell his tale.
Sidious:Its in regards to your Sith crystal. Your lucky you had your crystal otherwise you would've had to kill a Jedi and steal his. You see, a Sith's lightsaber is not usually given.
Vader:It is taken?
Sidious:Yes. Our crystals are very similar to our Jedi counterparts. Except, the only difference between our colors and theirs is that our crystals bleed. It's bleeding happens because of us channeling the dark side into the living object. The kyber crystals are alive. They're living things that feel what we do.
Vader:So, when I was bleeding the crystal, it was feeling my pain.
Sidious:Yes. By the way, why did you choose to remodel your hilt and make it as similar as your old one?
Vader:Its simply how I wanted it.
Sidious:Fair enough.
After a moment of silence between the two, the conversation started back up.
Vader:Sidious, who was your master?
Sidious:My master? Ohh, yes.
Vader:Do you have a grudge against him?
Sidious:Ohh no, no. My master and I were actually friends. He helped me become Chancellor. Most of this wouldn't be possible without him. We just had our own things and parted ways.
Vader:Was he Hego Damask?
Sidious:Very correct guess. His Sith name was Darth Plagueis. He was a powerful dark lord of the Sith who indeed taught me what he knew. He wasn't a sorcerer but he was a pragmatic and fairly powerful duelist and dark side practitioner. He and I took out our enemies, gathered support for our rise to power in ways where nobody would suspect us, and trained for the Grand Plan's completion.
Vader:The Grand Plan?
Sidious:It was Darth Bane's plan to wipe out the Jedi in the galaxy and to assert our place as rulers of the galaxy. Darth Bane, like his ancestor Darth Momin, was an outcast among the Sith. Bane soon escaped their oppression and destroyed them along with the Jedi forces combating them. He then established the Rule Of Two doctrine. It states that there should be only two Sith Lords in the galaxy. First him, and his apprentice Darth Zannah. Then her, and her apprentice. The main reason as to why Bane enacted this doctrine is because of the constant infighting of the Sith. Sadly, he couldn't see his Grand Plan continue and be eventually succeeded due to being struck down by a team of Jedi. Zannah died later, along with her apprentice after that. Plaguesis and I were the Sith Lords that began after the deaths of the apprentice of Zannah's apprentice and his own apprentice. The reason why the Rule Of Two was forever broken was because we of the new generation of Sith found how we could compromise. We were different and we were going to be the Sith we chose to be.
Vader:What about the changing of eye color for the Sith?
Sidious:Those were unnatural abilities. Darth Malgus's bloodlust and rage are the reason his eyes turned red. The fear that Darth Bane's enemies had of him explains why his eyes were yellow. The avarice that Darth Tenebrous, my master's master, had was so great that his eyes turned orange. The dark side can do that if one taps too deep into one specific emotion. You see Vader, we must balance all of those emotions and master them in order to get a grip on the dark side and use its power rather than letting it use us.
Vader:Did you have that experience?
Sidious:No. My master and I did not experience that as we vowed to never go to that place. It is easy to be seduced by the dark side's power and it can take control of you if you let it. However, if you continue having balanced training with your power, your lightsaber skills, as well as your mind and body, then you might be able to become a fully developed practitioner of the dark side.
After a moment, Sidious started speaking again.
Sidious:I know what you wish to ask me. You don't have to relent.
Vader:Did you kill your master?
Sidious:No, he died by his own hand. I'm not lying. It's easy for to assume I killed him because of it being Sith tradition, I know. But, we are the Sith of the current generation. We need to be better then our ancestors and to learn from their mistakes in order to not repeat them.
Vader:Understood.
Sidious:We have quite a fascinating but violent history, don't we?
Vader:Yes.
Soon after Vader's word ended, Tk-421 entered the room.
421:Sirs, we're getting close to our destination as we speak.
Sidious:Thank you, 421. Get prepared and wait for us. We will call upon you when we are in position.
421:Sure thing, Emperor Sidious.
421 said as he left the two.
Sidious:Come, Vader, let's get ready for this meeting.
Sidious said as he and Vader walked out of the room they were in.
