In his TIE-Fighter, Vader was in deep thought. He didn't want to believe what he saw, that being the arrogant fool he would've become had he stayed with the Jedi. He needed to go to Korriban not only to learn but to find out more about himself, the ladder he needed to know. Moments of deep thinking later, Vader found himself in front of the Sith's former home world.
He knows exactly what this planet looks like, as he saw the planet in his books. The Vally of the Dark Lords is the first thing he sees when he starts walking around the desolate planet. As Vader continued walking, he knew where he needed to go. The temple, when he made his way inside, was dark and cold. This didn't surprise Vader as he knew of its abandonment after many long, tiring years of war and decay. The dark presence in the temple called the dark lord towards a room, where he entered to find three spirits. These Sith spirits were Darth Revan, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Malgus. Vader spoke first, after a brief moment of silence.
Vader:Dark Lords. Revan, Nihilus, and Malgus.
Revan:Darth Vader. The second Sith of our current generation.
Malgus:From what we know, Sidious and yourself, as well as others before the two of you, no longer following our traditions as you believe our way of life was not working towards our goals. Why do you personally think that?
Vader:Our consistent infighting and greed is what led us to become almost extinct. That was also our biggest flaw.
Nihilus:I always thought our flaws were our strengths. As well as our fear, the fear we projected towards others and each other, the rage inside us, and our lust for power, as well as our hatred towards our enemies and at times towards ourselves.
Malgus:We know you reek of self-hatred, Vader. We can sense it.
Vader was silent at this point, causing Revan to speak up.
Revan:Do not deny it. I've been a victim of this feeling as well. You felt you could've save her, don't you? As well as the fact that you are angry at yourself for not being able to save your loved ones. You felt you should've done more. Vader, what happened to those you loved were events beyond your control and you couldn't do anything to stop them.
Malgus:Yes, not all of your life is in your control as things such as the tragedies that took the lives of those you loved happen all the time, not just to you.
Nihilus:You must learn to let go of this fear of yours. It's gotten so bad that it has turned you obsessive towards the only ones you have left.
Revan:You obey your teacher because he is like your father, you value your Stormtrooper not only for his skills but his company as well, and your relationship towards the Grand Admiral extends more then just professionally. The ultimate reason as to why you keep them in your life but push them away is that you fear losing them like how you lost her. This also goes with your deep fear of abandonment.
That sentence right there was enough to cause Vader to open his mouth.
Vader:My problems, with all due respect, are none of your concern.
Revan:You have not come here to learn. No, you've come to know. What your future might be, if you had followed our ways, the ways of the past. Do you see that room?
The masked dark lord said as he pointed to a black door.
Revan:That is where you will confront that question. You may enter when ready.
Vader, after a moment of stillness, walked towards the door, opened it, and closed it behind him. Though, not before some final warnings from the spirits of the past.
Malgus:You mustn't let the illusions and terrors in there fool you. That will lead to your demise.
Nihilus:Yes, like others before you. Even we almost died in that room.
Revan:Trust all of yourself. It is one of the many things that you need to do to survive.
Vader:Very well.
