April 10
(11:00 a.m)
"I don't want to go to this opening party tonight," Crina whined to Lilium as she came out of the bathroom.
"Neither do I," Lilium replied with an equal dislike of what was going to happen. "But you know what will happen if we don't! Plus, Kevin was pissed at us for not being so positive on Good Morning Gossip Women."
Crina smiled for a brief moment at Lilium's comment. Though their performance on Good Morning America had been perfect, the problems in the interview were not that the questions were wrong. It was because they were in such a random order, as if she was reading them off from somewhere yet she knew that was not true. If it were she knew exactly who would have given Robin the questions.
"Yeah, at one point I actually thought Kevin was feeding her the answers somehow." She remarked. "And I have high doubts that the mighty Kevin would dare do that!"
"You never know with Kevin," Lilium stated. "For all we know he could have kidnapped the real reporter. And then replaced her with some evil clone he has specially programmed to give stupid interviews."
Lilium flopped herself onto the unmade bed of their hotel room. "If that happened we need to hire someone to get rid of Kevin." Crina said with a naughty grin on her face.
"Crina!" Lilium snapped at her.
"It is true and do not say you don't, you hate that ass." Crina replied in an equally surprised tone. Normally Lilium went right along with her plans, now she was just being boring. Maybe she was just tired? They didn't get back from last nights concert until 6 that morning.
Both girls had to deal with a long night of traveling from Boston back to New York. They had slept for the most part on the four hour bus ride to their hotel. It has been awful for them because of the long wait for the concert to start and the fact that the concert did not end until two in the morning.
The concert was lovely other than that. This was the first concert in which they had been sold out in North America; though sold out now throughout North America. Fans from all over came to see the girls sing, either that or make out. Which last night they did not do, both of them wanted to show that one can be romantic without making out on stage.
Crina sighed and flopped herself to the bed. "What time do we have to go to that stupid party?" Lilium asked.
"Like seven or so?" Crina said as she turned over to Lilium. "I cannot remember call Kevin if you are worried."
"I will later," Lilium said while rolling her eyes. "Gosh, that reminds me, Kevin called while you were in the shower."
"What the hell does he want now?" Crina spat.
"He says he wants to eat lunch with us in the hotel's lobby." Lilium whined.
"Really?" Crina asked. "Please tell me you are joking because we got enough of a lecture last night!"
"Yes, I am serious!" Lilium said wide eyed. "Would I lie to you?"
Crina smiled shortly, after that moment. It was true that if she ever lied to Crina, she'd be very upset with this. Lilium was an honest girl who would never lie to the ones she loved. Neither would Crina, unless she had to protect their feelings.
Still she was upset that this was true because she did not want to meet with Kevin at a stupid lunch meeting! Crina knew that with a meeting, you ended up with a long and boring conversation about kissing.
"No," Her smiled left. "Still I wish we did not have to meet with Kevin. I mean really we saw him last night and I would love just not to see him until tonight."
"I know," Lilium sighed. "I feel the same way but you know we cannot just skip out on this, he might replace us!"
"Yeah right." Crina rolled her eyes. "If that happened then he is an idiot trying to find another two girls willing to do what we do on stage."
"Your right," Lilium admitted looking less worried about being fired.
"Plus, we can fire him!" Crina stated. "And the day we turn eighteen we are getting rid of Kevin!"
The girls moved into the lobby of the hotel they stayed in. Both girls held hands as they approached the sleeping Kevin on the couch. He had a white bag filled with what smelled of french fries and something with cheese and bread.
"Should we dump the body in the Hudson?" Crina asked Lilium with a silly smile on her face.
"No!" Lilium whispered to her. "Let's just leave before he wakes up! Come on we have to eat at one of those really expensive places and let Kevin see the bill."
Kevin suddenly blink. Idiot! He was listening to us! Crina thought. Now he would know exactly what they wanted to do with him. Of course, they could never be replaced, they were Crestfallen and nothing was going to change that! If Kevin wanted to get rid of them he would have done it before About You was released.
The girls sat down on a couch behind them, across from Kevin. He didn't even seem like he cared about what the girls had said. All Crina knew was that this is going to be a long boring meeting about nothing more than stupid kissing.
"So girls," Kevin said calmly. "I would like to congratulate you both for making number twenty-five on the US, Billboard top one-hundred."
Crina and Lilium smiled at the thought of being number twenty-five on the chart here in the US. Both girls giggled, and kissed each other on the cheek in congratulations. They had went from eighty-seven to number five in a matter of days. They had performed on almost all talk shows in the country and the news of the reality television show most have bumped them higher on the list!
"Are you serious?" Lilium asked in doubt.
"Yes, I am serious Lilium." Kevin stated sharply. "Now tonight with the première of your television show there will be millions of people prepared to watch you all over the world. From Europe to Australia, they have you on broadcast."
She already knew that and why would he bother bringing up the fact that the girls were going to become internationally known just by being featured on a television screen. Though it was a sad thought to believe that that was what was going to elevate their fame, and not their music.
Crina shook the thoughts out of her head. It didn't matter she and Lilium would finally be seen as a real couple and not some t.A.T.u. copy.
"Also girls," Kevin continued. "Your cover of All the things she said, has gone viral on the internet."
"What?" Lilium asked in panic.
Crina worried then that all of their fans wouldn't love them as much because of the fact they sang that song. She knew that their careers would not be ruined, however, she knew that the controversy surrounding that would be horrific. Their fans should know that they are real, not some fact group that was after money. Though they were after money of course, but the music was more important.
"Yes, I have even edited the song and placed it on the deluxe version of Forgiven." Kevin stated with a wide grin on his face. "Hope you girls don't mind but really we could use the bump in sales."
"All right," Lilium said reliantly.
Crina just nodded her head. Their were both in serious shit if the media stated the obvious how the band who released that song was not real. Now they were more than likely to get told they were fake, and how no one will listen to them anymore.... Then again t.A.T.u. became very successful in Russia.
Who cares about them! Crina thought as she sighed. She gave up trying to argue with Kevin, he was her overlord until she turned eighteen. After that they could get a new manager and not have to deal with that bastard any longer.
