Becoming the Alpha Queen

Chapter 3

His green eyes studied my face looking for a reaction. I was in complete shock. I have to shift today. I'd have to shift today. But you won't I reassured myself Tanya won't reject alpha title. Its what she's been trained for. I let out a small sigh of relief.

"It's okay. It's all hypothetical. I mean we all know Tanya won't reject alpha title." I said. I let out a nervous laugh. My dads face relaxed and he and my brother laughed along with me.

"Of course," my dad said "I just needed you to know."

I nodded the adrenaline of the fear still running through my veins.

"Hey Kay, why is Sin so pale? It looks like she wants to pass out." Nyx's voice joined the conversation.

Kasei just laughed and shrugged his shoulders. He didn't really like mind linking everyone else in the pack. She wrapped her arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug. I was pretty sure she could hear my heartbeat still racing because she let me go and held me at arms length, a questioning look in her eyes.

"Are you ok?" she asked. "Do you want to talk about what happened?"

I realize that she had heard every single word my dad told me. I look at my dad who had the guiltiest look on his face and nodded at her.

"Alpha Gregory," she said, looking at my dad. "I must have a girl talk with Sin."

I laughed a bit since she stated it instead of asking which is considered disrespectful. My dad wrinkled his eyebrows but nodded. She practically dragged me to my bedroom  since it was soundproof (one of the perks of being an Alpha's daughter). She immediately threw herself on my purple and black comforter and patted the spot next to her for me to sit. I sat down and took a deep breath to try and gather myself. Then I broke down.

It was unusual for me (or any alpha really) to cry, but I felt safe with Nyx and I was very emotionally stressed. Between sobs, I told her everything that had happened and she sat and listened.

Once I was done, she grunted and said "But you know Tanya won't give up alpha title, right? Why are you worrying so much?"

I thought about it and shrugged.

"I don't know. I guess it was scary thinking that I might have to shift tonight and take on the title. I feel so unprepared to lead if I was forced to."

"Do you think your dad was prepared when he inherited? Do you think he knows the correct way to handle every situation? I know my dad doesn't and he's Beta. I know my dad has flaws but that's okay most of what he knows comes from experience....and age." she smirked. "Besides if you became Alpha, I become beta and then we'd be stuck together for ever. Would you want that? Cuz I should hell don't." she joked, trying to lighten up the mood.

I gasped.

"You don't want to spend the rest of your life under my rule?" I grabbed my chest fit dramatic effect.

She burst out laughing.

"Not if your going to be such a crybaby." she replied

I laughed a s well and threw myself onto her, tackling her.

"You'll pay for insulting your Alpha!" I cried out and began poking her stomach and neck.

She screamed and tried to crawl away for me but my alpha strength help her down.

"Submit!" I cried after 10 minutes.

Nyx could barely breathe, much less talk, and she was gasping for breath.

Once she was finally able to catch it, she gasped "I- I submit!"

I rolled off her and onto my back, laughing hard.
