Becoming the Alpha Queen

Chapter 6

We reached the tables within a few moments of walking an found Kasei pacing the bottom of the rock, waiting for us.

Kay! I mind linked him.

His head shot up, startled, but he smiled when he noticed it was just me. I motioned upwards with my head and he joined us as we made our way up the hidden staircase toward the high tables.

When we got up there, I noticed there were two tables. A smaller was set up for four people, which would be used to seat the current Alphas. On the other side, there was a table set for 10, which I assumed would be used to seat the heirs, me, Nyx, Steven, and Kasei. Ciro and the other two Night Star wolves were already sitting down and stood up as we approached.

"Good evening." Ciro said once we reached him.

Up close, I could see what drove Nyx so crazy when she thought about him. He had high, sharp cheekbones and full, plump lips. His muscles were visible through the shirt he was wearing, and his emerald green eyes went beautifully with his medium length light brown hair with black roots.

"This is my Beta, Gabriel, and my Lead Warrior, Reza." He continued. "Thank you for your hospitality."

I immediately liked him. Despite Night Stars bad reputation, I knew better than to judge people before I got to know them. His Beta and Lead Warrior nodded curtly at us. Gabriel had curly black hair and royal blue eyes, standing a few inches shorter than Ciro, maybe at 6 ft. Reza, on the other hand, had dirty blond hair and caramel colored eyes. He stood only an inch taller than me,which was interesting, since I was taller than most lead warriors, being that they were buffer and shorter. His muscles were more prominent than Gabriels and Ciros, and I could see why he was lead warrior. All three of them had tattoos on the visible skin on their necks and wrists,and probably more hidden beneath the long sleeves of their shirts.

I smiled at them and said, "Nice to meet you. I'm the second in line for Alpha title. My name is Cynthia. This is my brother Kasei, my Beta Nyx, and my Lead Warrior Steven. We are pleased to welcome you to our land."

I stepped forward and shook all of their hands, plesed when my friends followed my lead. If my sister decided to accept Ciros proposal tonight, both packs needed everything to be going smoothly with the future leaders and the rest of the pack.

"Shall we sit?" I asked, motioning to the seats.

Ciro nodded and sat down, Gabriel and Reza following in suit. Kasei pulled out m chair for me and Steven did the same thing for Nyx. Once we were seated, the boys took their seats next to each other. Now we just had to wait for my sister.

Within moments of us sitting down, she appeared, Altair and Daren following like bodyguards. Ciro, Gabriel, and Reza stood up again a her appearance. They introduced each other again and sat down, this time Ciro pulling out Tanya's chair for her and taking the seat next to it.

Tanya motioned to one of the waiters, who brought over a small plate of pork buns to help us hold off our hunger until the end of the ceremony. I immediately grabbed three of them, and tried my hardest to not stuff all of them into my mouth at once, but I was so hungry it was torture.

Sin, sweetie, can you stop looking like a half starved wolf? Its making me want whatever you guys are having

I looked up and noticed my dad staring at me. I realized he hadnt eaten all day since he was busy organizing everything. Even now he couldn't catch a moment of peace because he was overseeing te arrangement of some of the lower ranking Night Star wolves that had come to witness the shifting of their future Alpha. I quickly excused myself and went to where my dad was standing , taking a pork bun with me without anybody seeing. I pressed the still warm pork bun into his hand when I reached him.

"Thanks," he whispered. "You have no idea how hungry I was."

I smiled and kissed his cheek, then went to go sit back down to wait for the ceremony to start.

Hey pups! Well guess what! This girl is officially a COLLEGE STUDENT! I just finished moving in and thought I'd spread some joy by updating.! So what do you guys think?
