You are a US Marine caught up in the events of GATE

The base has been coming along, hard to believe is started as a trench network and a few dozen tents. Now it's a star fortress covering all directions and centered aroundthe Gate. We brought the refugees back to the base, we then report it to the Major. Who is not happy that we brought them here.
Higaki: What?! Who told you to bring them here?!
Itami: So bringing 'em here was a bad idea?
Higaki: Do we have any where to keep them, Dummy?
Itami: Uh...What do we do then?
Higaki: *slams desk* I'm supposed to ask that! *groans* Guess I'll report it.
Y/N: Sir respectfully, we couldn't abandon those people to their fate. Plus this is opportunity to learn more about the locals here, and start a friendly dialogue as we planned to do in the first place.
Higaki: I suppose you have a point L/N let me call the General.
The Major reports the General on the what we discovered as well as the refugees.
Higaki: So for now Itami and L/N we'll accept the Coda refugees as part of a humanitarian effort. And Itami and L/N you're in charge of housing and observing them for now.
Y/N: Yes sir. Also I'd like permission to interview some the refugees individually for my report to Washington.
Higaki: I'll see what I can do L/N.
Itami: Wait, I'M supposed to be responsible for them?
Higaki: That's right. You brought 'em Dummy SO YOU TAKE CARE OF 'EM!
After Itami got chewed out by the Major who is now slumped over. We were in the hallway with four members from 3rd Recon.
Itami: Kuribayashi and Kurokawa, we need some rations from the quartermaster. Kurata and Tomita, see if you can get some tents.
All: Roger.
Itami: L/N can you help me out with the paperwork?
Y/N: Sorry Itami, I have to get my quarters set up start drafting my report to Washington. I am long overdue for that
Itami: Seriously you're just going to let me do all the requisition forms.
Y/N: Dude, all the forms are in Japanese. I have to fill my own forms just for basic stuff like ammo. But I will be down later to help set up the refugee camp.
???: Itami, L/N.
We look to calling our name to see an officer wearing glasses.
