"You want to do what?"
Rose bites her lip anxiously, her finger pausing on the piece of land she was trying to sell me.
"I want to sell this..."
"But why? That hotel makes you so much money, does it not?" I ask, crossing my arms in front of me.
She shrugs, "Daddy said I could do whatever I wanted with it. I want to sell it and purchase a bigger land in another state. This one isn't necessary."
I blink at her, processing what she said. "That doesn't explain..." I stop, wanting her out of my sight already. "Okay. I'll buy it. Come tomorrow and I'll see what I can do." I stand, dismissing what she was gonna say. "You can find your way out."
I stroll out of the room, bumping into someone. I sigh angrily, just wanting to relax. "Amanda what the fuck are you doing here?" I snap, irritated at the sudden pop ups of my ex fucks.
"I was looking for you," she sniffles, putting her head down. "I came to apologize for the other day. I was off my meds because I couldn't afford them for the time being."
A part of me itches to help, and the larger part of me is saying that she couldn't be trusted. She would usually take medication for her anxiety and/or depression. At times she didn't need them, other times she couldn't control herself.
"It's fine."
She shakes her head, tucking her hair behind her ear. "It really isn't. I apologize for how I acted. I just want you to know that there will be no revenge plan or anything. And I'm not in love with you." She rolls her eyes at herself, picking at her nails.
What a relief.
"Amanda, it's fine. You should go home and get some rest. You look tired." She had dark bags under her eyes, and her cheek bones were too prominent to be considered healthy.
She nods, turning and beginning to walk away with her head down.
Damnit. Fuck.
"Amanda. Let's get you something to drink and eat." I wave my hand, walking over to the bar section and ordering a water with a cup of fruits.
I push them over to her just as she sits down. "Eat." I point to the bowl filled with grapes and other assorted fruits, glancing at my surroundings.
She drinks her water, gulping it down before plopping the fruits in her mouth.
Soon, she finishes and stares at the bar tender as he pours a margarita for another customer. I order one for her, passing it to her.
"We all need a drink at times." I order myself a shot of whiskey, thinking of how Sophia would feel if she caught me drinking with an ex fuck buddy.
"Thank you. I want something harder than this if you don't mind?"
I shrug. "Go ahead."
Hours later, Amanda is semi-drunk as she giggles at almost everything I say.
"Amanda, lets get you..." Home? Where was her home now?
"Don't make me go back there," she whimpers, her body cowering against mine.
"Where?" I furrow my eyebrows, thinking of where she might've gone.
"Just don't make me." She whispers, her head rolling back a little.
I grunt, trying to hold her up. Eric and Jesse walk down the stairs to me, looking at my arm on her waist questioningly.
"She's ...drunk. Take her to the car." I order, and they look at each other before reluctantly taking both her arms.
