Chapter Seven: College Bound

I woke up screaming shooting up out of my bed. The door bust open and Nadia runs in.

"Whats wrong?" She asks 

"Nothing, I'm fine." I wipe the beads of sweat from my forehead as Nadia walks off

"You don't look fine. You're sweating like a pig." Nadia says wiping my forehead with a wet cloth

"I said I'm fine. It was just a bad dream." I get up off the bed and walk over to my dresser

I pull out a dark purple laced top, black skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, and dark purple Steve Madden Edit Booties. 

"I have to take a shower." 

I walk away and turn the shower on right away. I strip off all of my clothes and get into the shower. I let the warm water run down for a few minutes before I wash everything. I get out and continue my normal process of getting ready. I get downstairs and start barking out demands. 

"Nadia, today I need you to visit the Salvatore's and try to convince Damon to rethink this war before anyone gets hurt. Silas..... Let's go. It's our first day." 

In an hour we got to the dorms. I got out of the passenger side  and let out a sigh. Silas round the car and walks to the trunk pulling bags out of the trunk. I pull my sunglasses off and looked at the building that I would be living in for the next semester. I drag my sunglasses back down to my face and walk to the trunk. I take out the handle and I start walking my heels clicking against the pavement. People turn around and look at me, whispering to each other.

"Elena!" Someone yells at me 

I turn around and see the familiar blonde. She walks up to me waving and then wraps her arms around me.

"Um.... Caroline?" 

"What?" She asked confused

"Not Elena." 

"Elena this isn't funny." Her smile turns into a straight line

"Caroline." I say in a stern voice

"Oh my God. Kathererine?  How are you here? And is that Silas?" She asks looking towards him

I look back at Silas then focus my attention back on Caroline.

"It's a long story. Discuss over coffee?" 

"I don't think Elena would approve." 

"Awe and here I thought we were becoming friends." I sarcastically smile 

"You killed me."

"I thought you were better off. At least that's what Nadia told me." 

"Okay, fine. Coffee it is." She smiles

We get to the campus's coffee shop and we sit down. A little later the waitress comes over and asks us what we want. I ordered an iced mocha coffee and a chocolate chip muffin, Caroline ordered a regular coffee, and Silas just got a water. 

"I'll start, when Damon and Elena blew up the travelers, we took the chance to pass through and that's how we are here. I told Damon and everyone that I wanted to co-exist. But that went to crap recently." I look over to Silas and smile

"How did that happen?" She questions

"Silas has a short temper." I grab his hand and he tightens his grip around it. 

Caroline's eyes trail down to our hands and smiled.

"Are you guys together?" 

I look at Silas and I smile at him. 

"We'll see. When Silas isn't drinking the cure out of me he's actually a perfect gentleman."  

"Oh, I highly doubt that." Caroline chuckles

"Anyway, we should get going. Can you deliver a message to Damon for me?"  

"Oh no. Not this again." She rolls her eyes

"Don't worry. It's not the same message. I want you to tell him that I'll let him have a pass this time. I really do want to avoid any problems. Au Revoir." 

Silas gets up and follows me. 

"I thought you wanted war." 

"My dear Silas. I can't be Katherine Pierce without lying and manipulation." I smile 

Elena's POV

I bump into Katherine on the way to the dorm Caroline, Bonnie and I share. I notice that Silas is walking a couple steps behind her on his phone. 

"Looks like Caroline won't have to deliver that message afterwards." She smiles

"What do you mean?" I ask

"I wanted Caroline to deliver a message to Damon, but since you are here I'll just tell you. I am letting him pass this time because I don't want any problems. This is an one and only time offer. Choose wisely." 

"Silas is the one who came barging in and threatening him." I state

"I can't control Silas's temper. But since you make a good point I'll apologize. Is he here with you?" She asks

"No." 

"Trouble in paradise?"  

"Yes actually. I told him to apologize to you for what he did or I won't talk to him until he does." I frown

"Thanks. But I'm a big girl. I can handle Damon's torture. I really have to get ready. Party at Whitmore House tonight. Can't miss it." She winks and walks away

I shake my head at her eagerness. I continue on my way to the dorm when I'm stopped, again. I look up and see the icy blue eyes I fell in love with.

"What are you doing here Damon?" 

"I came to apologize." He states

"To Katherine or to me?" 

"I told you I am not apologizing to her." 

"And I told you to come to me when you apologize to her." I snap

I move left of him to walk away. I get by a couple inches before he grabs the crook of my arm and I stop.

"Why should I apologize to her after everything she has done to us?"  He asks

"I forgave her. Why can't you?" I remove my arm from his grip and walk away

I finally get to the dorm and I walk in and Bonnie and Caroline are already there. 

"Hey, Elena." Caroline jumps up and hugs me

"Hey. Katherine saw me and told me the message." 

"Are you okay?" Bonnie asks as I sit down on my bed

"Not really. But I think a party will cheer me up." I fake-smile
