"Silas... we can't." I sigh

"Why not?" He asks rubbing his thumb against my cheek

"Because it's wrong. It's not who I am."

"But it can. I'm in love with you, don't you feel the same?"

I pull away from him and turn around.

"I'm still in love with Stefan. I'm sorry."

I go to reach the bathroom when he pulls me back.

"I don't care." He raises his eyebrows

I remove my arm from his grasp.

"I have to go shower."

I get into the bathroom and run the water. I hear the door slam and I ignore it, getting into the shower. I put my hair into a bun and wash my body. I get out and wrap a towel around my body. I exit the bathroom and Silas isn't there. I sit on the bed and look around.

"Crap."

"No clothes?" Silas asks walking in

"Nope." I reply

He tosses a bag on the bed and a shirt falls out.

"Cute. Did you go shopping or something that quick?"

"I had the extra clothes in my car."  He says

"Perfectly my size too."

"I got them for Amara when I was going to find a way to bring her back." He admits

"Oh. That explains that."

With awkward silence, I turn around and I get into the bathroom and pull out all the clothes. There is a blue bra and underwear set, a black off-shoulder shirt, and a pair of blue jeans and black ballet flats. I get dressed and when I'm satisfied I take my hair out of my bun and let the curls fall onto my shoulders. I give it a little fluff and then I reach into my bag and pull out my lip gloss and put on a generous amount. I pucker my lips to get the product on my top lip. I reach for the doorknob but hesitate and take in a breath of air. I release it and a few seconds later I walk out of the bathroom. Silas is sitting on the bed, waiting for me. He gets up off the bed and walks to me.

"You ready?" I ask

"Yeah, just one thing first." He puts his arm up and places his palm against the wall, blocking my path.

"Yes?" I look up at him, and our eyes capture

"I will protect you at all cost, I don't care if you are  still in love with Stefan; I will have you."

He presses his hand off the wall and turns around walking away. He opens the door then turns back to me and smiles "You coming?"

I shake my head at the thought and grab the bag off the counter. I walk past him and shove the bag into his chest.

"I'm not a piece of property. You will not have me, you will earn me."

I smile at myself feeling accomplished. I turn around when I don't see or hear Silas walking behind me. I watch as he stares at me, frozen in place. I snicker and whistle at him. He immediately snaps his head up in my direction.

"You coming?"

"Yeah, Yeah. I'm coming." He walks past me and gets into the driver seat.

I smile to myself once more then open the door getting into the car. Once I buckle up he starts the car and drives off. He stares straight ahead at the road and says nothing. I can't stand the silence so I break it.

"You have good taste."  I look over at him

"Thanks." Is all he says, still looking out the windshield

I let out a frustrating sigh and look out the window. He is so freaking complicated, "I will have you." Who does he think he is? Ugh, He thinks just because I look like Amara that I am her. He is gravely mistaken.

"What are you thinking about over there?"

I snap my head in his direction with a scowl on my face.

"Oh, now you talk to me?" I snap and turn to look back out the window

"What's your problem?" He asks

"My problem!?" I raise my voice

"Yeah."

"I don't have a problem. You do."

Silas suddenly turns the wheel and glides off to the side of the road.

"What are you doing?"

He unbuckles his belt and turns to face me. "Please enlighten me. Tell me what MY problem is."

"You really want to know? Well, here it is, first you tell me that you are going to have me like I'm a piece of property. Amara may have liked that, but news flash; I'm not her. Second, when I tell you off you went straight into silence mode and barely respond to my statement. So childish, aren't you two thousand years old? Be a grown man and stop acting like what I said hurt your feelings."

He sits there and says nothing. I throw my hands up in frustration and turn to look out the window to avoid looking at him.

"I'm sorry. I have to remember that you and Amara are totally different people."

"Yes, you do. Now that that's established, I avoided your question earlier, I-"

"Don't worry about that." Silas cuts me off

"No. You need to hear this. I do.... feel the same. I just-" I stop before I say anything else

"What? Say it. I want to hear the words from your mouth."

I suck in a breath, preparing for what I am about to say next.

"I'm in love with you too, okay? Are you happy?"

I look towards Silas and he has a smile on his face.

"Yes, very happy." He turns back onto the road and puts his seatbelt back on.

He continues to smile as he stares straight ahead. I finally let out the breath I had been holding in because I couldn't breathe. Silas looks over at me and worry crosses his face. I turn my head quickly to look out the window, pretending that I wasn't staring at him.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, just get us back to the dorms. Classes start soon."
