Luke's POV
I woke up from my messy bed and looked at the time. 7:00 am.

It's not the usual time I get up but since I'm up I decided to be 'productive'.

I brushed my teeth and took a shower before changing into some sweatpants and a blue t-shirt.

I walked into the kitchen to see almost everyone eating breakfast.

"Where's Mia?" I asked.

"Good morning to you too," Bertram mumbled.

"Sorry, good morning. Can anyone answer my question now?"

My siblings shared a look and smirked.

"She's still sleeping," Ravi replied.

"She did have a long night though," Emma stated.

I furrowed my eyebrows at the statement.

"Well, here she is now," Zuri said and Mia walks in, scratching her hair and rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning," she said in a sleepy tone.

Everyone replied and she took a seat next to me.

"How did you sleep?" I asked.

"Good."

"I missed the opportunity to ask you yesterday but how was your date?"  Emma asked.

Excuse me? Date?

She smiled sheepishly before saying, "It was great."

"I believe it because Shane's such a sweetheart," Jessie commented.

My head snapped at the mention of his name. I finished my orange juice before excusing myself.

"Luke, where are you going?" Ravi asked.

"Bathroom," I said blankly, not making any eye contact.

Mia's POV

"Most of the time I don't pay attention to you kids but Luke seemed a bit off," Bertram stated.

The remaining Ross kids agreed with him, trying to hide a smirk. I swear these kids LOVE smirking.

I simply shrugged and dived into my pancakes.

I went upstairs to get ready for Luke's basketball game.

I made sure my hair was neat and my accessories were in place

I made sure my hair was neat and my accessories were in place. I sprayed some rose scented perfume before leaving the room. I decided to hang out in Ravi's room, knowing that I'll at least get a hint of Luke's odd behaviour.

"Knock knock."

"Come in," he replied, recognising my voice.

I peeked in his room before entering. I high fived Mrs. Kipling before crashing on Ravi's bed.

"What do you want?" he asked, going straight to the point.

"Direct I see huh, huh," I said and he laughed at my lame joke.

"Okay, okay in all honesty I just want to know what's up with Luke . He seemed off earlier."

"He's just annoyed with someone that's all."

"You sure?" I asked,  trying to get more information.

"Yeah."

Ravi and I continued talking until it was time to attend the game.

The court was crowded with my future school mates and the boys were currently warming up.

Shane's eyes were searching the crowd and eventually spotted me.
I gave him a thumbs up and he smiled before returning his attention to his team mates. Luke was playing for the opposing team and I was torn between the two. I made a decision to only cheer if one of them makes a basket.

Luke walked over and I wished him good luck. He smiled at me and it somehow made me feel better.

The referee blew his whistle and the players assembled on the court.

"I'm so going to win this," Shane said in a cocky tone.

"Don't think of it as a price but as a treasure," Luke replied.

"It is, and I plan on keeping it."

They're still talking about basketball right?

The whistle was blown again and the ball was thrown into the air.

Here's another chapter! Sorry that they're so short 😭 My tests are coming up so I'm writing some chapters to be up in the mean time.
Stay blessed🌙
