Dr. Lodge^Play the song:
Black Out Days- PhantogramTom Shelby discreetly entered the secluded room. He was well aware of the brewing mob just a block away but Doctor Lodge the man incharge was still remotely oblivious. It took all his will to not cringe at the helpless auburn haired woman on the surgical, cut up and open like some sick real-life game of Operation.
He really didn't want to think of his own daughter going through something like this.
"Shelby! I didn't expect you any time soon. Did you favor my deal?" His voice sounded even the more sinister implied with a face mask and a scalpel in hand.
"I did." He nodded, because it wasn't exactly a lie. The doctor seemed to untense, and his grin could be seen behind the mask as his brown eyes studied Tomas. "I have to decline."
The room fell silent, and Lodges' face fell just as quickly as his mood. "Excuse me?"
"You see, I'm a scientist too." Tomas began as he narrowed his eyes accusingly at Doctor Lodge. "But my studies don't require murder of innocent beings. And the irony is, no matter how many of the specialists you kill, you no closer than you are when you started."
"That's a shame you reject my offer." Lodge said instead despite his obvious anger. "I figured we could be an unstoppable force, you and I."
"I don't work with heartless criminals."
"Oh, really?" Lodge tested. He wasn't a murderer. What he did was good. "I'm only trying to find a cure for their inhumanity. What those things are aren't right."
"They have hearts. Just because their born differently than you doesn't mean we don't have the right to a normal life."
Lodge slowly smirked, Tomas stilled as he noticed his fault.
"We?" He said slowly. "You're one of them."
Tomas set his jaw, crystal blue eyes grew intense as he studied Lodges knowing expression. He watched as the shorter man clutched the scalpel in his hand tighter, in a more defense stance. The blood from his gloves smeared against his coat as he brought it down beside him.
"Yes." He admitted. "And I'm here to get my daughter, and every other miserable being out of here."
Lodge furrowed his eyebrows with genuine curiosity. His eyes, his eyes. They held so much familiarity how could he not have known? And her blonde hair was so much similar to her mothers, his wife Grace that Lodge read over before they allowed Tomas access into the building.
"Your daughter is Jenna Black." He said more like a statement rather than it's intended question.
Hiram Lodge shook his head with disbelief, his surprise suppressed into a neutral expression as he approached Tomas with the sharp blade tightly in his grasp. "I suppose I can make room for one more subject."
