Victoria's POV
As soon as we got up the stairs I pushed Jordan into the closet and closed the door behind me.
"Seriously, what's your problem?" I crossed my arms over my chest glaring at him.
"I don't have a problem. Like I said-"
"Like you lied! I know you, Jo. You and Grace hang out every Monday, Friday, and Saturday afternoon. Last time I checked it's Thursday. You don't like Trey do you?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him.
"I don't like how you've known the guy for a day and he's already chilling in your basement! When we met I didn't come to your house until a month or so after we'd known each other. You're moving too fast." He argued back at me
"In third grade you weren't the new guy. You had been going to Meadow Lake Elementary as long as I had, that was just the first year we talked. You don't know what it's like to move to a new place, with new people that you don't know. I wanted him to feel welcomed here. I sure didn't my first year of middle school." I mumbled that last part.
"Babe, I'm sorry. I got so caught up making the football team, I barely had time for you. I'm sorry I didnt find out until it was already too late. You didn't deserve that. " He apologized. Sixth grade was when I first started getting bullied. Rachel and Brooklyn decided to spread rumors that I was sending nudes to guys online. All the boys would always tease me and ask for pictures. It was the wort year of my life. Jordan didn't find out until almost the end of the school year because everyone refered to me as Whoria and he never knew who they were talking about.
"Whatever, I'm over it. Grace needs you right? Go home. " I opened the closet door and began walking to the front door.
"Tori, wait." Jordan grabbed my arm "I'm sorry okay. I didn't know it was that important to you. I don't know why I was being so unaccepting towards Trey but ill try harder to be friends with him." He smiled
"Thank you." I smiled back giving him a hug. We walked back to my movie room. Trey and Ashlyn were laughing at something someone said.
"Well, looks like you guys hit it off." I looked to Ashlyn
"Yeah well. Trey here is a pretty funny guy." She giggled
I walked over to her and whispered loud enough for only her to hear "Don't forget I called dibbs. I was serious, Ashlyn. He's mine." I spat at her. I didn't mean for it to sound so harsh, but im not taking it back. She simply nodded.
"So where ya from Trey?" Jordan asked, trying to spark a conversation.
"New York. Manhattan area. Was born there, moved to Michigan at eight. Moved to tampa at fifteen, now here I am; Jacksonville, Florida. Got here maybe two weeks ago." He explained.
"Wow. Why'd you move so much?" I asked
He bit his bottom lip, trying to think of an answer but he shook it off. "What time is it?" He finally asked
"Almost six." Ashlyn spoke looking at her phone
"Damn it. Sorry guys, but I have to go." He said getting up and grabbing his shoes "Today was fun. Thanks for hanging out with me. I really appreciate it." He waved as he began walking up the stairs.
"Trey wait!" I called running up behind him
"Yes?" He grabbed his bookbag from the couch, slinging it over his shoulder.
"I'll see you tomorrow? "
"Yes. We do have school tomorrow right? "
"Yeah. I was just checking. Like i said if you need anything school related or not, I know the area pretty well so just call me." I gave him a genuine smile as I opened the front door.
"Well it was nice meeting you, Victoria. Hope you have a good night and see you tomorrow."He smiled cutely as he walked to his car. I waved as he drove off, recieving a hong in return. I closed and locked the door heading back downstairs.
"So now what? " I asked
"Well sorry to continue the exit train, but I told my mom if be back before seven to help with dinner so I gotta go. " Ashlyn stood up "I'll let myself out. Bye guys. " She hugged us both before leaving.
"and then there were two" Jordan said with a quiet giggle.
"You aren't leaving too are you? I have zero plans until after dinner." I asked him, an indirect plea to not leave me alone and bored.
"Nah, I'll stay. but I can't spend the night again."
"Who said I wanted you to?" I winked at him.
"I'm just saying" He chuckled
"So what are we gonna do? "
"We should go for a swim. it's 80 degrees outside and it's humid."
"Okay. Well dont you have to go home and get your suit?" I asked getting up
"Yup. I'll go home and change, I'll meet you in the backyard. "
I walked him to the door, closing it.
