Victoria's POV

Dating Collin is the best decision I've ever made. He is the perfect boyfriend; opening doors, carrying my heavy bags, sending me good morning and goodnight texts, surprising me with date nights and amazing gifts that I don't need. The first time he told me he loved me was when he asked me out about six months ago. Today is our six month anniversary and it's gonna be great. I plan to tell him I love him, in a passionate non-joking way,  and tonight is going to be just perfect.

Collin's POV

"How can this happen? I'm supposed to be spending my anniversary with Victoria.  We have plans tonight and I can't cancel that or she'll..she'll be destroyed. I can't do that to her." My furious yells slowly dwindled down to a worried whisper. I tugged on my hair. This can't be happening.

"She knows you're plans. You have to back out or Victoria could get hurt." Shawn told me, putting his hand on my shoulder.

I looked up at him with red eyes. "No one will hurt Victoria. I protect her with my life. I would die everyday for the rest of my life if it meant she was safe." I growled at him

"Okay, okay. Calm down. I'm just saying, Brooklyn has created a whole new possy and she's coming after Victoria, tonight. So if you still go, some of us should go with you. Just as back up; as extra protection for her." He tried to convince me.

"Fine. You guys will stay in the shadows and will not make any moves until you see Brooklyn moving towards us. If you do you text me first, enough in advance to where I can move her somewhere safe." I ordered.

"Okay. You guys need to be getting out of here and getting ready. I didn't mean to mess up your anniversary,  but I needed you to know this."

I gave him a bro hug and went to get Victoria. She was with Danny and Ashlyn, learning more about vampires. I can hear and it's all stuff I refused to answer. That girl just never gets enough knowledge.

"Tori." Everyone looked at me

"Yeah?"

"Sorry I had to stop the 'best anniversary' train but, if you're ready we can hop back on now." She smiled at my wierd metaphor.

"Okay, here I come." She hugged her friends and began walking towards me. I held out my hand and she took it, interlocking our fingers. She has such small hands. So soft and fragile.

I yelled goodbye to Shawn and told him to remember what I said. He ran to get the guys, and girl, as we left.

I swear if Bitchlyn ruins my anniversary I will personally rip her into tiny bite sized pieces.

"You okay, baby?" I heard Victoria's footsteps stop behind me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why you ask?"

"You clenched your jaw and started growling like you saw dinner."

"Oh." I looked down trying to come up with a reasonable excuse. "I'm fine. Sorry if I scared you." I faked a smile

"Promise?" She raised her eyebrows

"We gotta get going." I changed the subject and began walking to the car again.

She let it go and got in the car. She played games on her phone and texted, completely ignoring me most of the ride.

"I love you, Victoria." I broke the silence, looking over at her.

"You just said.." She trailed off, her stare burning holes in the side of my face.
