Waking up

Trey's POV

"Yeah. Well we're on our way now so get it together."

I took a turn down the familiar street. Victoria was still sleeping in the seat beside me, Daniel in the back with Ashlyn.

"Well we didn't have time to warn anyone. We were almost late ourselves!"

I shook my head. Arguments with Tyler go no where. I took the phone from Danny.

Listen Tyler, clean the NB room and make sure my bed is cleared. I need water and some human food set out when I get there. If you don't have the stuff ready I'll tie you up myself and leave you alone with the newborn." and with that I hung up.

"Here's your phone." I gave Danny his phone back.

"Thanks."

I'm not the leader if that's what your thinking. I give orders and I make threats but we all have the same boss.

"How'd you get her to sleep?" I asked Danny.

"I uh.." He stopped.

"I swear if you bit her.." I clenched my jaw

"No! No she wouldn't get up to go with me so I just pulled her out. She was kicking and screaming so I sat her down and she started running. She passed out when she saw all the blood and headless bodies." He hurriedly explained.

I just turned my focus back to the road.

Fourty-five minutes passed before we pulled up to the house. I honked the twice horn and two others came outside to greet us.

"I got Victoria. You help get Ashlyn and take her where she needs to go. Danny, come with me."

Danny walked in first, telling everyone who hasn't already eaten to leave. I waited a few minutes before carrying Victoria in and laying her in my bed. Lucky for Tyler, two slices of pizza, a bag of potato chips, and a bottle of water were sitting on a tray on ny nightstand. I wrote her a note telling her to come downstairs when she wakes up.

"Where's Ashlyn?" I asked

"NBR" everyone responded.

We have a special room where we store and train newborns. We chain them up and force them to be vegetarians. We live from animal meat, like cow, pig, chicken, we technically eat human food just not all the way cooked.

I went to the room and saw her tied to the chair.

"Wake her up. Warren said he'll be here soon to take care of her." I told Peter and Kaleb.

I took a seat on the couch, everyone looking at me.

"What? You guys got something to say?" I asked very annoyed

"Well you just brought Victoria and a newborn here. We also heard you killed Rachel. We kinda want details." Shawn spoke up.

I sighed and told them everything. It went silent after that.

Danny came in and I gave him a deadly glare.

"What did I do now?" He asked, plopping down on the couch opposite to me.

"If you would've just let me handle Rachel the first day at school we could've avoided all this, but now Ashlyn is a vamp and Tori knows everything."

"Not everything." He mumbled

"Do you have a problem with how I'm handling my human?" I asked standing up.

"Yes. I've had a problem with you since the day you accepted the job. I'm her friend and you knew that. Why'd you offer yourself knowing I was going to want the position? "
