Trey's POV
"Guys seriously, I'll be fine." Victoria faked a smile as we followed her to her room.
"Yeah sure." Danny said sitting beside her.
"Trey, you were pretty scary today" Jordan commented "I thought you were gonna kill someone" He laughed.
If it wasn't for Danny I would have.
"Yeah. Well I don't like people messing with my friends. Especially if it isn't the first time." I looked sat in the chair at her desk.
"I was really embarrassed. I mean is it really that funny that im a virgin? " She said laying back on her bed.
"Of course it isn't" Ashlyn responded "It's only funny to the sluts and man-whores because they think sex is a hobby. I'm proud of you for keeping your v-card." She smiled sitting behind Victoria, and moving her head from the bed to her lap.
"I'm proud of myself too but its only been a day and I want it to end already."
"Sorry to say, but the only way to stop it is to-"
"Jordan!" Danny yelled
"What? I was just gonna say kick her ass like you did Brooklyn. You see Brooklyn didn't say anything, she just laughed. Meaning she's still afraid of you."
"Oh. Yeah that's an option."
"No it isn't." I looked to Danny "Because she'll get suspended."
"Did you get suspended last time?" Danny asked her
"Well no."
"and why not?"
"Because it didn't happen at school. But, that was after a few years of her bothering me. I don't have that kinda time."
"Exactly. So she's not beating her up." I stepped in again. Danny and I had a small stare off but he backed down.
"Okay."
"We should do something. Like go swim or play guitar hero." Ashlyn said randomly
We all laughed at her randomness.
"What? I'm serious. This air is so thick with tension I can barely breathe. Lets do something fun to ease our minds."
"Sounds like a good idea." Victoria said
"Okay. Guys go get your swim trunks. Victoria and I will meet you in her pool in twenty minutes."
All us guys left. Danny and Jordan going to Jordan's house and I drove home. It wasn't that far of a drive, maybe ten minutes. I put on my trunks, grabbed a towel, and went back to Victoria's.
Victoria's POV
Swimming was fun. We had a ball.
Someone's phone was ringing outside the pool.
"I got it." Trey jumped out, drying his hands and face. "Hello?" He said. Everyone was watching him now, us all secretly praying he didn't have to go.
"No I'm with Victoria." He sounded upset.
"Damn it. Okay fine, I'm on my way." He hung up "Asshole always ruining my fun." He mumbled. "
"Guys im sorry. I gotta go." He began grabbing his stuff. I got out and gave him a hug.
"Bye. Text me later?" I asked
"Yeah. Bye guys!" Everyone called their goodbyes and waved.
Danny's phone vibrated.
"Danny. Your phone." I said getting back in the pool..
He looked at it.
"Ugh. My mom needs me to come home. I'll be back later tonight. Toria, can I stay with you tonight? No offense Jordan."
"Yeah sure. Just call me when you get here so I can open the door." I said
"Okay . Bye guys."
"Bye!" We all said
"And then there were three." Ashlyn said
"Hey, Tori." Jordan said
"Yeah?"
"Have you heard from Collin recently?" He asked
"Maybe a week ago. Why?"
"Just wondering if he's still in the picture."
"Who's Collin? " Ashlyn asked
"Just a guy. He's been kiking me for about a month or so now. Nobody important."
"Why didn't I ever hear about him?" Here she goes..
"I told you. It wasn't important."
"So a stranger kiking you out of the random isn't important and he's continued talking to you?"
"Thank you Jordan for bringing this up." He dissappeared underwater. I rolled my eyes.
"This isn't about him, its about you!" She raised her voice
"What do you mean its "about me?' I told you its not important."
"We used to tell each other everything. Important or not. Stupid or not. Gross or not. Because we were best friends. We used to have sleepovers almost everyday of the week. We don't do any of that anymore because you're always with Jordan or Trey." So that's what this is about. It's not about Collin or Me. It's about us.
"Ash listen to me. I'm sorry I'm not as open to you as I used to be, but you aren't either. You don't text me anymore, we haven't had any sleepovers because you always used to arrange them. I hang out with Jordan more because you push me away, and I accepted it because I know that you're still my best friend, no matter what."
"You're right. I'm sorry. I just- things changed okay? and I dont have the time anymore."
"You don't have time for me?" I asked, slightly angry
"Between school, my boyfriend, my parents and their upcoming divorce, I have alot on my plate."
"This is why you should make time to talk to me. I could've helped you through all that but you keep secrets. Guess we're not best friends after all." I turned my back away from her, trying to calm down. I cant cry.
"I'm sorry." Her voice was weak.
"So am I."
"Victoria-"
"I think you should just leave, Ashlyn." I said in what I hoped was a strong voice.
"Okay." I heard her sniffle and she got her things together and left.
"You need a hug?" Jordan finally said.
"You should leave too. I just want to be alone right now."
"Babe, please-"
"No. Just go." I got out of the pool and went inside.
I ran up to my room, locked my door, and lay in my bed. I couldn't get myself to cry so I just sat there staring at the wall. My "best friend" is keeping secrets from me. Jordan babies me, as if I can't handle my life.
