Danny's POV

It's been about six months since Ashlyn was turned.

Warren has been taming her and teaching her. She's doing very well. He's gotten her to calm her senses. Now she uses her special hearing and smell when searching for danger or food. He's gotten her speed and strength under control too. She can actually walk and use her fake girly strength when she's not around us.

Her only problem is feeding. If she sees or hears anything with a beating heart and blood she jumps it, no control. She's actually trying to control herseld, but it isn't working like it should. I decided to volunteer to help her. I called up Victoria and she agreed to help. She and Collin drove up to the warehouse.

"What does she have to do again?" He asked, his arm around her waist protectively.

"Stand in the woods. It's a part of Ashlyn's training. She's having trouble controlling herself when it comes to feeding. We think testing her in real life will be more helpful." I felt kinda sorry for her. The only girl here, and she's scared and still trying to understand.

"And why is using Victoria a good idea? If she can't contain herself she might rip her apart." Collin; he's so over protective. I'm guessing they've gotten closer in the past few months, because he's gotten more protective.

"You, Me, and Shawn will be standing by. If she charges at her, pin her down."

"I'm fine, Coll. You'll be right there, its okay." She put her hand on his shoulder and smiled at him.

He instantly calmed down and nodded.

"Thanks. Shawn's already in place. Were just gonna stand just out of sight. I'm sure she won't attack her best friend." I insured them both as we ran to take our places.

I gave the signal to Warren and he released her. I could hear her growl as she ran towards Victoria. We slowly got closer, just in case. I saw her run past me and I was hot on her trail.

"Ashlyn stop!" I yelled

She stopped fifty feet away from Victoria.

"Get her out of here." She closed her eyes, breathing heavily.

"No. You have to learn to leave humans alone. They aren't food. Open your eyes and look at her." I demanded

Since Collin had been busy with Tori, I stepped up and took more charge.

"Ash, hun. Calm down. You're better than this." Victoria coaxed.

She stood there, slowly steadying her breathing.

"Good." I told her. "Tori. come a little closer." I motioned her closer. I was standing right behind Ashlyn so even if she wanted to charge, she can't get anywhere.

Victoria came closer, she was now standing ten feet away.

"No wait!" Ashlyn fell to her knees trying her very hardest to control herself.

"You're doing great, Ash."

I motioned her closer. Victoria took a few steps closer.

"Why is her heart beat so loud?" Ashlyn whimpered

"You've mastered this already Ash. Dull your senses. Ignore the sound." I tried to calm her down.

"She smells so good." She looked up at Victoria with bright red eyes.

"Yes she does. But, you already ate. She is your friend. You protect her.  Do not attack Ashlyn." I said sternly

Victoria is now standing in front her.

"Stand up, doll." Victoria outstretched her hands to the quivering Ashlyn on her knees, trying to focus on her breathing and not Victoria's smell.

I wil admit she does smell amazing, her blood and her natural scent, but with me having seven years of human interaction,  I've learned to acknowledge it but never act on it.

"I don't want to hurt you." She shook her head.

"You won't. You have control." She smiled trusting Ashlyn.

Ash slowly reached up, and took Victoria's hand.

This will be the hard part. Inhaling nothing but her sweet smell, hearing nothing but her beating heart. Feeling the warm blood rushing through Tori's veins right under her palm. She looked up, eyes red, showing her fangs and stood quickly.

"Ashlyn." I warned.

She took a few deep breaths and closed her eyes. Ashlyn's eyes returned to normal color and she isn't shaking anymore. I smiled

"Thanks for helping and trusting me Vick." She smiled, giving her a hug.

"No problem."

We continued it that way for a few weeks. Victoria standing in the woods and Ashlyn running for it. After a while she stopped running to her. She stood there taking deep breaths. A week later she didn't even have to steady her breathing.

We decided to made it more difficult. Victoria had a small cut, blood dripping from it. Ashlyn was having a little trouble with that. She ran to her, and we had to hold her down. That might need a little more work..

* * * *

After a long ten months of training, Ashlyn is back at school. Back in the presence of people without any hesitation. She's fully under control like Collin and I. She even got a boyfriend who's a baseball player. She even patches up his cuts and wounds all the time.

I knew she could do it. It makes me proud to know I helped train her.
