"Jimin-ah," Jungkook's dad says as he clutches Jimin's hand a little bit too tight. "Please make sure to take good care of our Jungkookie."
Next to him, Jungkook groans in embarrassment. "Appa!"
But his dad ignores him. "He needs at least 3 meals a day—"
"No, I don't—"
Jimin cuts him off and gives Mr. Jeon a good-natured smile. "Yes, sir. And he'll be in bed by 10pm."
Jimin can practically feel Jungkook's glare burning into the back of his head for going along with this, but he makes sure to keep the smile big and sincere.
Standing next to Mr. Jeon, Jimin's brother snickers as he looks at his brother with judging eyes. "Speak for yourself."
Jungkook chuckles and fist bumps him. Jimin's brother gives him an 'I got you' smirk in return. Jungkook is taken aback by how similar he looks to pre-debut Jimin. No matter how many times Jungkook has seen Jimin's brother, that impression can never be erased.
"Jihyun," Jimin says slowly through his unwavering smile. "Did I ask you to talk?"
Mr. Jeon laughs at their exchange. "Now, now." He wraps his arm around Jihyun's shoulders, who gives him hyung a snobbish look. Jimin glowers at him, hoping that it says, wipe that stupid smug off your face.
"Appa, we need to get going now or we're going to be late for our flight," Jungkook interrupts.
Mr. Jeon's face falls a bit as he doesn't want to leave them just yet, but eventually he nods. "Ah, alright."
"Thank you for dropping us off!" Jimin says, giving him a bow like the well-mannered man that he is. To his brother, he gives him a quick once-over. "Bye, Jihyun."
"Don't get too lost," his brother replies.
Jungkook engulfs his dad in a bear hug before taking off. "Bye, Appa. Take care!" He turns to Jihyun and smiles. "I'll make sure to get you a souvenir. Thanks, Jihyunie."
Jihyun nods. "My pleasure. Have fun!"
Jimin's mouth falls open, shocked by their exchange. "What, how come you're so nice to him?"
"Maybe because I'm actually nice?" Jungkook offers with a shrug.
Jimin rolls his eyes and drags the maknae towards the security entrance. "Let's go."
"Bye!" Mr. Jeon calls after them as they make their way. Jimin looks back to wave at them. Jungkook's dad is an adorable and kind-hearted man. He treats all of the members like they are his own sons, and Jimin is eternally grateful for that.
Once they are out of their vision, Jungkook sighs, dropping his face into his hands in humiliation. "I don't know why my dad's acting like he's dropping me off at first day of school when I've been living away from him all these years."
"It's probably because it's your first time really going somewhere without the older members," Jimin replies. "He's probably worried you won't be able to take care of yourself."
"But I'm going with you."
Jimin shrugs. "Yeah, well, he's not the only one concerned. Namjoon hyung also gave us the talk earlier."
As soon as Namjoon's name is mentioned, the imagine of him looking down at him with those eyes automatically comes to Jungkook's mind. Before they left the dorm, Namjoon had pulled them both aside to remind them to be on their best behavior. Even though it's private trip, there will always be ARMY out there who will recognize them. Namjoon had warned them to not cause any rumors.
