What have I done?

4 words. 4 dreadful words that have been constantly playing in Jungkook's mind as he clutches at his phone tightly. For the past half an hour, he's been sitting there motionlessly as he waits for reality to settle it. He's really done it. Jungkook's afraid to even open up his phone—fearing what he'd see if he does. He can already envision the headlines.

"Jungkook Comes Out on Vlive."

"BTS Jimin Terminated Because Homosexuality."

"BTS Jungkook Confirmed Gay."

His phone has been constantly vibrating and ringing. He doesn't need to check the screen to know that it's probably his friends, family, or BigHit staff trying to reach him. He's not ready to face them—he doesn't think he'll ever be.  As supportive as ARMY has been, he knows there are thousands of people already making crude judgement out there. On the next ring, his phone buzzes again. He dares to look at the screen to see that it's a phone call from his mom.

Jungkook curl his fingers into fists, clutching at his pants tightly. What can he even see say to her?

"I'm sorry." He whispers as he holds down the power button. The phone buzzes, and the screen turns dark, but he keeps staring at it. Eventually, he sighs, letting the phone fall to his lap. Jungkook drops his head onto his hands, pulling at his hair in apprehension.

God, what have I done?

For as long as Jungkook can remember, his biggest fear has been getting kicked out of BTS. As he stands in front of manager's office, he feels his fear slowly coming to life. He remembers him as a little boy, crying to bed at night whenever his dancing was heavily criticized. He remembers his shaky hands as he stood here for the first time, waiting for the staffs to discuss his consequences.

Here he is again, just waiting for them to throw the termination papers in front of him. Jungkook has always thought that there'd be no more life if BTS was gone. But now, all he can feel is emptiness. There's no excuse he can give himself. He had pressed that "Go Live" button fully knowing the repercussions.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Jungkook has never found a saying truer as he stands in front of his manager. The manager's soul, in this case, is pure rage. Jungkook doesn't remember ever seeing him looking like this. His eyes have a deadness, a stillness. Jungkook watches as the whites in his eyes turn a pure black. The way they squint as he glares at him reminds him of a viper's slit-like pupils. Jungkook gulps nervously, bracing himself for what's about to come.

"What were you hoping to achieve?" The manager asks. His tone is calm and stable, but Jungkook can tell by the way he grits his teeth that he's trying his best to not blow up.

"You know what I want," Jungkook answers quietly.

A sharp sound of hand slamming on the table causes Jungkook's heart to almost jump out of his chest.
