"Hyung," Jungkook says slowly, his voice tight. "You can drop the act now."
"Hm, whatever do you mean?" Jin responses in a seemingly innocent voice. He puts a toast his mouth, biting it between his teeth to hold it in place. With his free hands, he pours himself an orange juice. One might think he's busy with something, but in reality, he's just trying really hard to avoid the maknae.
"I know you were there, hyung."
The toast falls out of Jin's mouth.
"Noooooo!" Jin bellows, mourning over is fallen breakfast.
Jungkook sighs, rolling his eyes. How is Jin the oldest member again? "Can't believe a toast is getting more attention than I am."
Jin throws his beloved toast into the trashcan, shooting Jungkook an annoyed look along the way. "What do you want, Jungkook?"
"Obviously, I want to talk," Jungkook says matter-of-factly. "Like I said, I know you were there."
"Mm." Jin simply replies, and then he heaves a sigh. He's been avoiding this confrontation. Jungkook is right; he was there. On the snow day. He was just calmly taking his daily stroll, sipping his Starbucks coffee when he unintentionally walked in on Jimin and Jungkook...having their intimate moment. He took one glance at them, choked on his coffee, and started praying to the Higher Above to give him patience. The Higher Above must have been listening because he managed to calmly walk away without making a scene.
He had hoped they didn't see him because he'd rather taste Namjoon's awful cooking than confronting them about it. But apparently not. Jungkook had seen him and moved away before the kiss.
"I just want to say," Jungkook says slowly, holding his hyung's gaze. "Nothing happened between us."
"Mm," Jin says again. "I'm sure nothing did."
Jungkook blows out a breath, the air causing his bangs to fly up. "I just want you to stop acting so weird around us."
"Okay, look here, Kookie," Jin finally says as he realizes there's no way out of this. "All I know is that you like Jiminie. I had no idea that he likes you back—"
Jungkook's heart skips a beat and he takes a step closer to Jin. "Wait, you think Jiminie hyung like me?"
Jin stops talking to think about it for a moment. He gives Jungkook a weird look. "Unless he's experimenting his sexuality, but it's pretty obvious you guys are together."
Jungkook's mouth falls open. "What? We're not together!"
"Right."
Jungkook throws his hands up, flabbergasted. "Hyung," Jungkook tries to reason again. "You have to believe me."
Jin holds up a hand to interrupt him. "You and Jimin can do whatever you want. We're not going to stop you. But you've got to understand, this is completely new and unexpected to us, so it's awkward..."
