30 Years Later
2018

The brunette woman was sitting in the lounge area of her house drinking green tea with a cheesy romance novel in her hands. She was trying to stay calmed and relaxed, for a new person was going to join her coven. She was very nervous and scared. Noni was always accepting and kind to new members, but she wasn't so sure about this one. She had a history with their mother and every time she remembers that they're related to that woman, which is all the time, she panics.

A blonde girl stomps down the stairs in her black floor length gown and combat boots with her black satchel before turning around again to yell up the stairs. "Sadie! Millie! We gotta get to school, come on!" Winona took deep breaths as she began to mumble a line from her book to herself. She hadn't told the girls yet, she wanted it to be a surprise for when they get home from school. She knew that most of them would be pissed, as they knew about what happened when Noni was their age.

The redhead grabbed her flower crown that she wore almost every day before looking in her vanity mirror and grinning to herself. She had added something new to her style, all for a boy that she liked at school. Sadie Sink was hoping to get his attention today, so she had applied some dark green lipstick and a little mascara. The green matched her pants and it was her favorite color.

Sadie grabbed her backpack and swung it over her shoulders before leaving her room and running down the stairs to meet one of her best friends. The blonde raised her eyebrows at the redhead as she noticed not only a smile on her lips, but also a bit of pigment to them. "Are you wearing makeup?" She asks. Sadie giggled as she softly nodded and batted her dark eyelashes. The other girl was taken back by her new look. "Mascara too? Wow I can't believe you're really doing this for a boy." She looks back up the stairs, waiting for their other member.

"Well don't you wear makeup for Maddie, Lilia?" The red head asks curiously. The blonde felt kind of sad and also infuriated at the mention of that girl's name. She stares at a step and taps her fingers against the railing. "I never did. I wear makeup to express myself." Lilia explained. A door from upstairs swung open before a brunette with shoulder length hair wearing a blue floral dress and her usual white lab coat came down the stairs with her bag over her shoulders.

She met up with the two girls at the bottom of the steps. "Alright lets get to school." She spoke. The three young girls make their way towards the door as Millie adjust her backpack. "Bye Noni! We love you!" Sadie shouts back as they all were now outside in the crisp autumn woods. It was quite a long walk to and from school for the girls, but it gave them time to talk alone with each other.

Lilia had been wanting to tell the girls something since yesterday, but was too heartbroken to say anything then. "Guys I broke up with Maddie." She admits. Millie gasps as she steps over a rock. "What? But she loves you so much, how could you do that to her?" The brunette questions with concern. They're best friends. The girl decked in all black shrugs keeping her eyes on the ground as Sadie looks up at the tree tops above them, imaging her crush asking her to be his girlfriend. "I just feel like I should focus on me. Our relationship was pretty much just me giving her what she wanted and desired and we'd been together for nearly a year. It was so exhausting."

Millie had never even thought about that. She's always seen them as two people who really love each other and would do anything for each other. Now she finds out that it's only Lilia who would do anything for Maddie. "Oh. Well are you going to date someone else now or..." The brunette trails off. Sadie finally jumped into the conversation. "Do you guys think Caleb's favorite color is green too? I mean I once saw him eat a whole container of peas in geometry, that must mean he likes green right?"

"Are you sure you're ready to date and shit? No offense but you might scare Caleb away rather than attract him." Lilia snaps at the red head who now frowns at the ground. Millie nudged the blondes shoulder. "Maybe instead of talking her down, you could help her get with this guy." She whispered. Lilia rolls her eyes. She really didn't want to deal with other people and mess with their relationships. She wants to be single and free. "Hell no. I'm not helping little miss daisies get with sir-peas-a lot. Why don't you help her if you care so much?"

Millie would love to help her friend get a boyfriend more than anything, but she's so inexperienced. She's never even found a boy at their school attractive, she's more of a loner with circuits and sparks. "I...I can't and you know I can't. Just do this for me please. Play cupid for a bit." The young tan girl begs quietly. Lilia finally gave in with an eye roll and a mental groan. "Maybe when you see Caleb today, you should bat your eye lashes at him like you did for me. I know it'll make him notice how beautiful your blue eyes are." She advised the girl walking beside her, causing a boost in her confidence.

The girls arrive to Hawkins high school and go their different ways. Millie went to go find Maddie and ask if she was alright after finding out about her breakup. Lilia went to go hang out under the bleachers to smoke with her usual goth clique. Sadie just stood behind a tree admiring the boy she's fallen madly in love with.

He was dark and always wears that varsity jacket she likes because it smelled of sage. Caleb McLaughlin wasn't really popular and had only two guy friends he hangs out with all the time. He had developed his own little crush on a certain girl only two months ago after he saw her after school dancing in the trees. Caleb thought that she was unique and beautiful.

The red head steps out from behind the tree on school grounds and fixed her crown before approaching Caleb. He notices her immediately and his heart began to beat faster. "Hi Caleb." She bats her eye lashes a couple times. This caught his attention and he now faces his body towards hers. "Sadie, you look very pretty today." She blushed at the comment before Caleb shoos his friends away.

Sadie was confused as to why he did that, but kept her smile and her eyes on him. The older boy clears his throat nervously before standing up straight and looking down at her. "Sadie there's been something-...I-I mean I have been wanting-...sorry I'm just nervous." He excuses himself. Sadie was also nervous after hearing that he was nervous. What could he be nervous about? "Sadie Sink...I like you."

Her world had stopped as those words echoed in her mind. She stood there frozen, staring into his dark brown eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks, hoping that she would say yes. Sadie gasps and squeals through her teeth. "Yes, I'd love to!" Caleb sighs in relief followed by a chuckle before grabbing her hands and smiling down at her. The red head felt happier than ever as she was now holding her first boyfriend's soft hands. "Should I walk you to class holding your hand?" He questions awkwardly. The blue eyed girl nods as they intertwine their fingers on one hand and start walking towards the school. Sadie's cheeks hurt from all the smiling she did as they walk hand in hand.
