Finn was really excited to learn how to use his powers. He's had them for half of his life and is finally going to understand them better and put them to good use. Noni was very scared to teach him anything, but that's the whole reason why he is here. She had to set her feelings aside and put the student first. "So when you're using your powers, you must stay focused and relaxed the whole time. Let's do a couple of breathing exercises before we begin." The woman starts as they sat on the floor of the library, across from each other.
The tall boy with curly black hair nodded as he waited for instructions from his supreme. "Let's close our eyes," Noni starts as she softly shut her eyes, Finn following soon after. "Straighten our backs," She sits up straight with her shoulders back and her head facing forward. Finn does the same thing. "Now deep and slow breaths in through the nose," They took in a big long inhale that lasted almost half a minute. They hold it there just for a moment, causing Finn to grow concerned. "And out through the mouth." The older woman finished before exhaling through her mouth. Finn does the same before relaxing his shoulders.
It's not that he was impatient and didn't want to do Noni's breathing exercises, he was just so excited to learn and he wanted to get into it right now. Of course Finn doesn't tell the supreme, he must do whatever she tells him to do. "Now we'll do this three more times. You must stay on rhythm and try to clear your mind while you're doing this, just to help you relax a little more." Noni tells him with her eyes still closed. They took a few more deep breaths in and out, in and out, in and out. Now it was time for the fun part, using his magic.
The two had opened their eyes and stood up from the ground. "Okay, so I did a little bit of research on your powers and I think I found a simple spell that we should practice." The short lady with dark hair explains. Finn tried to contain his excitement, as he didn't want to mess up during his training. Even him showing a smile made Winona worried, but she quickly tried to calm herself and put her teacher cap on. "I'm going to teach you...how to move water." She hesitated to tell him. Finn was really eager to start.
Noni turns and grabbed a glass of water that she had gotten before they started. She set the glass on the floor between them before subtly taking a step back as she told him what to do. "I want you to just stay focused on the water, never take your eyes off of it and don't let anything around us distract you. Take your time to do this, you're in no rush." Finn nods while taking a deep breath and keeping his eyes on the water. "Take your index finger and just point it up at the ceiling."
The young boy does what Winona tells him to do and took his index finger to point it up at the sky. "Now slowly swirl it around and while you do, envision the water rising up into a funnel. You can take as much as you want and do whatever you please, but just concentrate and think about what you want the water to do as you're working on it." Finn nodded. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't nervous, he was freaking out. He felt like if he did mess up then Noni would punish him and kick him out or whatever she does when you mess up. But the truth is, Winona would never punish anybody for missing a step. She's really not that good at being mean, she never was.
Finn slowly began to swirl his finger around in the air as he really puts all of his attention on to the glass of water sitting in front of him. Soon the water began to rise, starting as a small and shaky bump and growing and rising the more he thought about the water growing. Once he had the whole glass of water in the air, minus the glass, Finn just held it there, watching this small blob of clear liquid just levitating in front of him. He was impressed with himself, he was shocked. The young teenage boy never thought he could do something like this.
Noni was freaking out right in front of him. She was shaking and sweating, worried that he might get distracted and drop the water or that he might just throw it on her. The woman kept telling herself that it's not going to happen, it's not cold water. It was actually pretty lukewarm, but Winona still thought negatively and she screamed at herself in her head for it. She just wants to be a good and supportive person for her new student.

"So then that bitch threw a fucking eraser at me! Like so what, it's just gum, would you rather smell my nice minty breath or my nicotine breath, I'm just tryna be considerate!" Lilia had rambled to her two best friends as they all walk home together through the very thick, colorful and cold woods to get to their house. Sadie rolled her eyes as she hates it when her blonde sister gets so upset over small things like someone shushing her in the movie theater or a stranger bumping into her on accident. "We get it Lils, you're a smoker. I don't talk about marijuana all the time." The blue eyed red head shot back.
Lilia scoffs as Millie was now just standing between the two who were about to argue. She was annoyed. "Oh please, all you do is talk about the little plants growing in that little compartment underneath your bookshelf. You're higher than a fucking spaceship all the time." The blonde fired back. Sadie glared at the goth girl who was crossing her arms over her chest. She got a brilliant idea and put her hand across a very bored Millie to stop them from walking.
The brunette shot a look of confusion towards the girl in the homemade flower crown as she focused her attention just above the Lilia to quickly summon a shower of dead leaves. The blonde was trapped in a storm of brown and red, but wasn't entirely fazed by it. There were some things that really scared Lilia, Sadie was not one of those things. The leaves stopped and Lilia turned around to look at the red haired girl she held her hand out and a ball of flames had appeared out of thin air. She threw in Sadie's direction and the other girl quickly ducked her head. The fire missed her and hit a tree.
Millie gave Lilia a look, as if she was yelling at her to go pick everything up before she starts a forest fire. The blonde rolls her eyes and groans under her breath before spinning her fingers. The flames retracted, returning to the girl who threw them quickly. They disappear and Sadie just frowns at a half burnt tree. She could hear it's cries, but could do nothing about it. "Can we just get home all in one piece without a scratch? Is that really too much to ask for?" Millie questions as she now lead the way up the steps of the big stone building with a beautiful little porch.
The girls finally got inside and heard Noni speaking. Her voice coming from the library. "Now you can move it around a bit or you can put it back in the cup if you'd like, just concentrate and try not to get it on you or me." The girls knew exactly what she was referring to, his powers. Millie and Lilia ran to the library in fear and stood there in the threshold with eyes the size of quarters. Finn had directed his attention towards the girls. He was just staring at Millie though, trapped by her beauty. Her brown shoulder length hair and golden skin. Her flesh was the color of honey in the sun light with cheeks that were at the moment a very pink color.
"Finn!" Noni has shouted as he was losing control of the water and it was starting to drip onto the floor. He was pulled out of his thoughts and looked to his supreme who was gesturing the orb of water. Finn glanced down at it with no idea of what to do. He was confused and felt like he was under pressure with two girls watching him like he was a new shade of nail polish or whatever those girls are into. So he had dropped the water. Most of it had landed in the glass, but there was now a little puddle of water around it.
Millie and Lilia freaked out, rushing towards Noni and checking her pulse while asking it she's okay. Finn was confused as to why the girls were doing this. Sadie leans against a bookshelf, looking Finn up and down with a frown. She knew that he didn't mean it and she also knew that he needed support, but all the girls could do was play doctor with Winona.
