Summary : Can is alone. His dad passed away, Emre betrayed him, Sanem is gone, or that what he thinks.

He was so lonely in his big house. Can had always been a free spirit and loneliness usually didn't hurt him. When he traveled, it was just him and his backpack. He sometimes spent days taking pictures in the woods, all by himself. But here in Istanbul, he'd never felt so lonely. A few days ago, he received a phone call announcing his dad's death. His dad, the one who raised him and let him live all his dreams without questioning him once. The one who took care of him when he was a sad little boy, abandoned by his mom and far from his brother. He came back in town only for him, to help him. What was even worse for Can was that he had no arms to cry in. Emre betrayed him, he lied, spied, almost ruined his career all by jealousy. Of course Emre left their house. They had such a violent fight when everything came out Can was not sure he would see him again one day. Emre was not the only one to leave. Sanem, too, was gone. She told Can the truth and begged for his forgiveness but it was too soon to give it to her. So she left. She wanted to fight so much for him, but she thought it would hurt Can even more.

However, today was not a normal day. Sanem had to do something for Can. Today, the one she loved more than her life was burying his dad. After the ceremony, all his family and friends went to his house. There were so many people but still, Can was lonely. He didn't have anyone to talk about his pain, he faked smiled everytime someone offered their condolences. He was physically there but his mind was far from all this. After a few hours, when the guests left, Can couldn't move anymore, he was so sad and so tired. Emre didn't even come to the ceremony. He knew their mom was there but he refused to talk to her. In his big house, their was only silence. Everything was dark and Can was sitting on his couch, drinking a glass of wine, tears running down his tears. That's when he heard someone behind him.

"Can", a shaky voice said. "The door was opened...", the voice continued.

Can then felt a hand taking his. A soft hand he could recognized anywhere. Looking up, he saw her, beautiful as ever. She had a shy, sad smile on her face. When her gaze crossed his, Sanem saw all the pain in his eyes. She'd never seen him so hurt. He had dark circles under his eyes and she could tell how much he was in pain. She was surprised he didn't say anything when he saw her. It took her hours to decide if going to his house was a good idea or not. She didn't want to make him feel worse but she didn't want to let him alone during this hard time. She was so scared of his reaction, she had no idea if he was still mad. She would always remember that day, when she told him the truth. How betrayed he felt and how disappointed he was. He asked her to leave him alone and she agreed because there was not much more she could do. But leaving him alone now was not an option anymore. Without speaking, she hugged him and he let her do so. She hugged him so thigh she felt his heart racing. In her arms, Can got rid of the weight of the sadness he was carrying. He didn't know if he could forgive Sanem or not, but he knew being here with her was the only thing he wanted and he was so relieved that she decided to come to him. The hugged lasted long minutes. Long minutes where all they did was comforting each other, without any word. They finally separated but Sanem was not letting his hand go.

"Are you ok?", she asked.

"I'm not", Can just said.

So, Sanem, still grabbing his hand, helped him getting up and led him to his bedroom.

"Have some rest, I'll take care of everything", she answered.

Laying in his bed, he could hear Sanem in the kitchen. She came back a few minutes later, holding a tray where a plate was disposed.

"Here, you have to eat something"

Can looked at her, still quiet and without talking.

"I didn't cook, my mom did", she said with the purest smile.

Can was not hungry, he couldn't eat that much but he had to, for her. After he finished, Sanem  removed the tray, putting it on the table next to his bed. She was sitting on a chair a few meters from him. She didn't want to invade his privacy.

"Come closer", he finally asked. "Come here", he said pointing the other half of his bed. He didn't have to ask her twice. Still unsure how to position herself, she sat next to him, grabbing a pillow to support the back of her head. They were facing each other, their eyes were connected. They didn't have to talk to make them feel better. Sanem finally moved her hands, intertwining her delicate fingers in his hair. His bun was gone, she had never seen him like that. She got up and went to his bathroom. She came back a few seconds later with a hair brush. "Let me do it", she whispered. While she was brushing his beautiful long hair, tears were running on his cheeks. It was such an intimate moment, he was so vulnerable.

She finally turned to face him and swiped his tears, facing each other one more time.

"Why are you here Sanem", Can asked finally.

"Can, you could be anywhere, you could be in the other part of the word, if I know that you are in pain, I'll always come to you. Always, now, in ten years or in one hundred years", she answered so calmly and with a comforting voice.

"What if I hadn't let you in"

"I would have waited. I would have waited here all the night. Can, I will never push you to come back to me, but I will always wait for you", she continued, caressing his hair again, swiping his tears and gently touching his hands.

Sanem's presence by his side that day was better than any words, from anyone. It was the only thing he needed. He approached her a little bit more, his face almost touching hers. She could feel his warm breathing. They both knew what they wanted. As their lips were approaching, Can put his left hand on her face. She was crying to. The intimacy of the moment was so strong, they were sharing so much without even talking. They finally kissed. A passionate, desperate kiss. Tears were running, their lips were burning, but it was also very soft and full of comfort. It was not an angry kiss, it was powerful but so sweet, a perfect combination of his strength and her delicacy.

"You'll be fine", Sanem said a few seconds later as Can's head was resting on her stomach. Can knew it was true, he would be fine because she was there, next to him.
