Chapter 17
After breakfast, we began again on the road.
"I hate car rides," James complained.
No one said anything.
"James, look man, you're even getting on my nerves," Wesley said to him afterwards.
"Tell 'em Wesley!" I laughed and Wes gave me an angry face. I just sunk back in my seat while he left me hanging.
We started passing by familiar places and I sighed.
"Whats wrong?" Luna asked.
"I just don't like being home all the time. It sucks," I answered to her.
"Oh well I'm sure I'll be going somewhere again soon. I'll bring you," she smiled and hugged me.
"Well good haha," I hugged her back. Wesley was nice enough to pull into my driveway and drop me off.
"Thank you for inviting me again," I got out.
"Love you LayLay," Luna waved.
"Bye," I walked to my door and looked back at the car.
Wesley gave me a small smile and winked. I rolled my eyes and went into the door.
"Mom! I'm home!" I yelled. Her footsteps were heard, and she ran fast to me and tackled me.
"I love you!" she said.
"Love you too mom," I smiled.
"So guess what!"
"What" I asked.
"I picked out my wedding dress and..."
"What!!!!" I yelled.
"I want you to be the maid of honor!"
"Really? Mom o my gosh!" I hugged her again.
"I love you honey! Now you better get to planning!" She laughed.
I ran upstairs and began getting nervous. How was I going to plan something for someone when I could barely manage myself.
I pulled out my cell phone to text Luna, when something fell out with it.
"What's this?" I opened up the small paper and it had a number on it.
"Are you serious...ugh," The note said:
"Wesley:) You should call me when you read this. Like, right now."
I smiled but then put it in my drawer. No, I wasn't actually going to call him, are you crazy? I continued to do what I was doing and text Luna about the maid of honor. She decided she wanted to help me and came over the next day.
**
"All right, decorations, setup, cake, lets design I'm so excited!" she clapped her hands.
"Okay okay haha calm down," I sat on my bed and pulled out a notebook.
Luna sat down with me and got quite.
"What?" I questioned.
"...I'm sorry for Wesley...I know he can be a complete douche sometimes, so anything that happened at the cabin...I'm sorry."
"Are you kidding me? He didn't ruin anything. The trip was the most fun I have had in a while. I could careless about him haha," I looked into her eyes, "don't be sorry."
She smiled.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive! Now, lets plan ourselves a wedding for my mom and the lucky man!"
**
"I'm going over Luna's! She is helping me plan the wedding!" I yelled walking out the door.
"All right! Don't be too long!"
We walked over to her house and sat in the kitchen.
"Now...the colors. What should the room look like," she pulled out a notepad and pencil.
"Um well, I think most of the colors should be white, but maybe for a second color we should ask my mom what her favorite is," I pulled out my phone and called her.
"Hi, what's your favorite color?" I asked.
"Purple, definitely purple," she replied.
"All right, love you, bye," I hung up.
"All right, purple. I'll be right back," she got up and went somewhere.
I had a feeling Wesley was just going to come out of no where.
"Whatcha doin'?" he came around the corner and grabbed my sides.
"We are planning my moms wedding," I rolled my eyes because he scared me badly.
"She made you the planner?"
"The maid of honor."
"Oh nice," he looked over at the door and spun my chair around to face him.
"Missed ya," he kissed me quick, the turned me back around. Haha it's funny that he knows I'll just let him do that, but it's irritating at the same time.
"You know, you can't just-"
"Got the purple!" Luna came in and sat down.
Wesley was now getting something out of the fridge.
"Is everything all right?" she asked.
"Uh yeah why wouldn't they be?" I questioned.
"You look kinda startled."
"No I'm fine I swear."
"All right."
"You gonna make us something?" I looked at Wesley.
"HA you're funny," he pulled out bread and I'm guessing he was making a sandwich.
"I'd like cheese on mine," I smiled.
"Yeah and mayo on mine," Luna laughed.
Wesley just ignored us and sat down on the table that was by.
"All right cool," I gave him a mean look. We began drawing out tables.
"I don't know how many people will come considering it is a second wedding," I told Luna.
"Well we can just draw out about 15 tables for now and go from there," she replied.
We drew an actually decent sketch of the wedding reception. I was surprised and excited to book everything. It's in a month so we have lots of time. My mom is picking out a dress today and trying the cakes out tomorrow. Everything should work out in the end.
"Thank you for the help by the way," i said to her.
"Oh no problem, I love doing things like this," she said back,"I'm gonna go take a shower I'll text you later," she began to walk up the stairs. I let my self out and was walking down the driveway when I heard footsteps run behind me.
"Hey, wait up!" Wesley grabbed my hand and pulled me to the side of the house where no one could see.
"Sorry I didn't make you a sandwich babe," his hands were holding mine.
"Wesley haha I'm not your babe," I looked back into his eyes.
"You're gonna be though," he brushed my cheek with his other hand and decreased the distance between us. Now, his hands were around my waist.
"Wesley..." he kissed me softly and like always, I kissed him back. we continued to kiss. I let my arms rest on his shoulders.
Then he stopped, and stared into my eyes with a big smile on his face.
"Guess you're falling for the bad boy."
I looked down then back up at him.
"Guess I am."
