Chapter-44: Ready For Take Off

"Hei get down right here", she groaned but walked down the stairs to see her mom.

"What do you want from me?"

"The Tuan's are coming for dinner so get dressed" her mother gave her clothes a disgusted look

"Get dressed?", Hei gave an equally disgusted look

"Yes"

"But-"

"Go"

"Mom" she tried again
"Go"

Groaning she walked towards her room and texted Mark.

Mark: Mom is being weird

She kept her phone on the bed and decided to take a shower.

After a long bath she sat on her bed and saw two messages

Mark: You've no idea

JB♡️: Miss you

Hei smiled at his text

JB♡️: Miss you too

Mark: Come soon and save me

Hei dressed casually in white ripped boyfriend denims, and an oversized off shoulder brown sweater tucked in and waited in her room until Mark and his family arrived from the guest house.

"Hei come down honey", she rolled her eyes at mother's extra sweet voice.

"Hey", she saw Mark, who smiled at her and hugged her.

"They're acting weird", Mark whispered in her ear.

She looked at the parents who were looking at them lovingly.

"And they are looking at us weirdly"

Slowly Mark turned around and his parents looked at Hei's and laughed

"You guys go to Hei's room. I call you when dinner's ready", Hei smiled at her mother

"Okay", she took Mark's hand and took him to his room

"I can't wait to go back", Heisaid while laying on her bed

"I swear", Mark said while looking at his phone for the hundredth time l.

"She's probably sleeping. You'll get a text soon", Hei laughed when Mark's face turned red

Before he could say something, Hei's mother called them for dinner.

"Brace yourself"

Hei said and Mark chuckled.

Dinner was awkward except the food which was delicious. Her mother cooked rarely but when she did it was amazing.

And now out of curiosity she asked her mom .

"Wow! You cooked. So what's the special occasion?", she asked and her mother looked at her sharply.

"Because you came home honey and so did Mark", Mark stopped eating and looked at Hei who was looking at her mother quizzically.

"Look they even react together", Mary said.

Mark choked on his water and Hei rubbed his back

"You guys should get married", Hei's mom suddenly said
