8. Can't stand him

Present

Sia's POV

"Jerk....stupid....idiot....what does he think about him huh???" I was walking towards my cabin in office while cursing that man.

"Hey...cool down dear. What happened ? Why so angry" Dad asked me as he saw me furious

I narrated the whole story to him and then he told me about the new project and the meeting.

"Dad but it's already 2.00 pm, how am I supposed to prepare for the meeting in half an hour." I told him when he said that the meeting is at 2.30. Pm.
"Oh com'on Sia....I am sure you'll handle it." Dad assured me.

As I entered the conference room....
"YOU.." I shouted seeing "the jerk"
"Sia...what is this huh...he is our new business partner." Dad whisper yelled.
"Dad, he is the one whom I was talking about." I whispered to him.
"It's okay sir. We have met before but I think my first impression on Ms. Sia was little bit disappointing." He told with a smirk.
"Actually Ms. Sia, that time I was lost in something.....so....I am really sorry." He said and I could see the genuineness in his eyes.
"It's okay " I said with a hint of smile.

We continued with the meeting and he was really good in his work.

"So it is final then...Sia and Raghav, you both will head this new project. You both can coordinate according to your schedules." "Also Raghav....why not you join us for a dinner tonight." My eyes widened in hearing this.

"Yes. Sure sir. I would love to." He told dad but was looking at me.
I rolled my eyes to his reply.

After the meeting we left for our home in car together and dad called mom to tell her about the dinner plans.

Sia dad's POV

When Raghav told me about his meeting with Sia, I was tensed at first but when he told me that Sia was normal seeing him, I was somewhat elated hearing this.

Then after talking to him, I called her psychologist and told him about the incident and sia's behaviour.

He said that it is a good thing that Sia was not stressed seeing him and we should take this as an advantage in our favour.
We discussed the further plans and then I called sia's mom and told everything to her and also asked her to tell this to Karthik too.

At Sia's home

Sia's POV

I don't know what's happening in my home. Everyone is behaving as some superstar is coming.
It's so irritating.... uhhh.....

"Mom, what is going on...it's just a simple dinner." I told her annoyed
"Sia why are you behaving like this dear. I am happy because he is coming to home after so much time." She said but I was confused with her reply.
"Huh??? After so much time??? What does it mean mom. He is a stranger, and just joined the business.....do you know him??." I asked her narrowing my eyes.
"Uh...uhm...actually..." mom was saying but Karthik cut her words "Di, mom is saying that after so much time a guest is coming and you too are normal and happy, so this is kind of celebration . Right mom??" He cleared and looked at mom with a different look.
Mom just nodded her head and rushed to the kitchen.

Something is fishy!!!

At night

"Hello sir, Mam.." entered the jerk with a heartwarming smile.
"Hello son, it's so good to see you again." Dad said and hugged him.
He then bent down and touched mom's feet and took blessings. Mom first blessed him by caressing his head and then took him in a warm embrace.

He then said hello to Karthik and ruffled his hair.
He walked towards me and stretched his hand to me. I did handshake with him and said hello.

When my cold hand touched his large, rough and warm one, my heart skipped a beat to the sensation.

At that time I felt that the feeling of longing and emptiness that was lingering in my heart for so long ...was replaced with completeness.

I was staring in his eyes and got lost in his touch when someone cleared his throat.

"Uh huh.."

I watched towards him with narrowed eyes and he gestured towards our hands with his eyes.
Then I realised that I was still holding his hand in mine. I immediately pulled my hand and told a sorry to him.

He smirked to me and walked to the living room with my parents.

I went and sat beside Karthik on the couch. They all were talking with each other as they know him since ages.
I was feeling a bit uncomfortable so I excused myself "Mom, I'll just go and check all the preps in kitchen."

After few minutes mom also joined me and then we settled the dining table with the dishes.

At 8.00 pm all of us settled for dinner. Dad was seated at the head chair, mom on his right, followed by Karthik. Then Ragh....uhm...Mr. Jindal was seated on the left of dad. I had no choice than to sit beside him.

"Mmm.....Mam the food is so tasty, especially this kheer." Raghav said.
"Thank you dear, but the credit for this delicious kheer goes to Sia. She prepared it." Mom replied to him.

Why mom....why you have to do this. It's just so embarrassing.

He looked at me and gave me a smile. I too reciprocated with a shy smile.

After the dinner, we had ice cream and finally....he was all set to bid good bye, when....
"Sia, accompany Raghav to his car." Dad told me.
I hesitatingly walked him outside.
"The kheer was really delicious Sia." He said looking straight.
"Thank you, mom helped me with it." I said

This journey to his car seems to be very long.

"Sia....have you not forgiven me yet?" He asked with a serious tone.
"Huh??"
"For the morning incident.....you know the accident." He cleared
"Its okay, it was not your fault, I think I overreacted." I said
"So, we can be friends??" He asked me looking at me.
I nodded and smiled to his question.

We reached to his car, he sat in the driver seat and drove off with giving a last glance to me and waved at me.

As I was seeing him getting far away from me, the longing feeling came back. Then I realised that with him something was different, I felt happy, calm,.......complete.

He made me complete.
What is this feeling.....................
