"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" Isn't that the pick up line every dude uses? Well in Colby's case, it's actually true but he didn't fall for any reason, he fell for a boy named Sam.

It had been nearly 2 weeks since Sam and Kat's breakup and with Colby by his side, Sam was actually doing quite well. Colby was Sam's distraction from the pain. Over the past two weeks Sam had been too busy exploring and ticking off things from Colby's bucket list to even remember that Kat had broken up with him. Today they were in another abandoned building and they were having a great time exploring the ruins of the long abandoned jail. They were on the third floor, running up and down the corridor as they looked at all they decaying cells. "This is crazy, isn't it?" Sam said as he stop and pointed his flashlight into one of the cells. "What is?" Colby asked as he walked towards Sam. "This! Look how small it is! And for two people as well. Like, I know that they ended up in here for a reason but treating them like filth, can't do any good." Sam explained as he inspected the cell with his flashlight. "And don't forget that some people are innocent, wrongly accused." Colby sighed. "Yeah, that's even more sad and cruel." Sam agreed as he turned to Colby. They looked at each for a moment before they both turned away. "Anyway, lets forget about the sad stuff. We came here to have fun, didn't we?" Sam giggled which made Colby nod with a smile on his face. "Ok, we passed the nurses office on the way in. Who ever gets there first is the winner. On three?" Sam said which made Colby nod. "One." Colby said as he went to the other side of the corridor, so their was the massive gap between them. (Ya know in prisons when they have that gap in the middle of the corridor so they can look down to the other levels. I'm not good at explaining things lol. The pic below is kinda what I'm imagining except in my imagination there are more levels/floors and the railings have rotted away.)

"Two." Sam continued. "Three!" They both shouted in unison as they started running down the opposite sides of the corridor. They giggled as they ran down the empty hallway until Sam tripped on some debris, causing him to hit his head as he fell through the gap because the railings had rotted away. "Sam!" Colby screamed as he got his wings out and dived after Sam, catching him just before he hit the ground. Sam was unconscious because he hit his head but it wasn't too serious. Colby cradled Sam in his arms with a worried looked on his face, his black wings surrounding them. "Sam?" Colby panted as he cupped Sam cheek. Sam scrunched up his face before he squinted his eyes open. "Colby?" Sam managed to whisper before he passed out again. Colby used what little of his healing power he had left to make sure Sam was ok before he picked him up and flew out of there and back home.
(I had such a great day today. I just hope this happiness stays.)
