It had been 2 months since Shea attacked Sam and Colby. Colby still hadn't returned which left Sam wondering if he would ever return. The roommates were getting worried about as his mental health continued to deteriorate. He was like an empty shell, a shadow of his former happy, bubbly self without Colby. It was like all the light and positivity had been taken away with Colby. He barely left his room, he barely ate anything and it was a very rare occasion if he spoke to someone and if he did, it was only to say  'leave me alone.' Or 'go away.' The roommates only had a little bit of insight of what happened to Colby. Sam had told them that he had gone back home and that he was probably never coming back. He was sat on his bed in his dark room. 'What if they couldn't save him? What if he's dead?' These thoughts were too painful for Sam. Tears started forming in his eyes as he lay down on his bed and curled up. Without Colby he felt so empty. Sam put his hand over his mouth to try and stop the sobs from escaping but he was not successful.
A few hours passed and Sam had finally stopped crying. He sat up and walked to his door, grabbing a hoodie on the way. He quietly walked out and closed the door so he wouldn't draw the attention of his friends. Sam turned back around to start walking but he stopped in his tracks as he saw Colby's room. He heard the echos of his memories as he approached the empty room. Colby's laughter was all he could hear echoing around in his mind as he walked into the dark room. As he switch on the light he remembered all the happy memories. A smile grew on his face as he remembered all the nights they would stay awake just talking and laughing. The smile disappeared from his face as the memories faded and he remembered that he would probably never be able to do that again because he was gone. He turned the light of and walked away, making sure to be quiet because it was the middle of the night. He crept downstairs, grabbed his car keys, got in his car and drove away. He needed time away from the house because every thing there reminded him of Colby.
