Sam drove to the place that always seemed to make him happy. The spot on the mountain where he could watch over LA. He sighed as he walked towards the edge and sat down. He pulled his hood up and brought his knees close to his chest as he looked at the beautiful nighttime skyline of LA. Tears fell from his eyes as he remembered the evening he brought Colby up here. He missed him so damn much. He felt as if a part of him had been taken away with Colby. No, not just any part, Sam's heart had gone with Colby. He just sat there wondering if he would ever see him again, if he had even survived his injuries. Guilt filled Sam's body as he thought about how he just sat there whilst Colby fought to save his life. Sam buried his head in his knees. 'What's the point of living? I'm just a worthless cowered who doesn't deserve happiness.' He thought to himself as tears fell from his eyes and sobs escaped his lips. "Don't cry Sammy." Sam heard a familiar voice behind him. He scrambled to his feet as he looked up. "I always hated it when you cried." Colby said with a smile, his wings out and his arms open, just standing a few metres away. Not a moment later Sam was jumping onto Colby as he screamed,
"You're ok!" making Colby loose his balance and fall over.
"Owe." Colby giggled as they hit the ground.
"I'm sorry! Did I hurt you?!" Sam asked as he quickly scurried off of Colby.
"No, I'm fine." Colby giggled with a soft smile as he looked up at teary Sam. He cupped Sam's cheek, whipping away some of the tears with his thumb. "I never liked to see you sad Sammy." Colby whispered as he stared into Sam's ocean blue eyes.
"I-I couldn't help it. I thought you were gone forever... I thought you were dead." Sam whimpered as tears emerged from his eyes once again.
"I'm sorry Sammy. I would've come sooner but I needed time to heal. I'm here now, please don't cry." Colby whispered as he pulled Sam onto his chest. Sam rested his head on Colby's chest, listening to his steady heart beat as he closed his eyes and sighed in relief. On the other hand, Colby was looking up at the sky with a soft smile on his face as he wrapped his arms and wings around Sam to protect him from the night breeze.
"I missed you so much." Sam whimpered as he snuggled closer to Colby.
"I missed you too baby." Colby whispered as he hugged Sam tighter and started to stroke the blondes hair. "Wanna go home? It is getting a bit cold." Colby asked as they sat up. Sam simply nodded in response as he looked at the ground. "I know you came in you car but..." Colby started, which made Sam look at him as the brunette stood up and held out his hand for the blonde. Sam took his hand and pulled himself. "Wanna go the scenic way home?" Colby asked with the biggest smile.
"The scenic way?" Sam asked as he tilted his head. Colby stretched out his wings which made Sam realise. "Oh, the scenic way." Sam said as he looked at Colby's wings. "But won't people see us?" Colby shook his head at Sam's question.
"It's night time silly." Colby giggled as he grabbed Sam hand and kissed Sam's cheek. "We can hike up and get you car tomorrow." Colby suggested as he looked into Sam's ocean blue eyes.
"Okay." Sam whispered with a smile which made Colby's face light up.
"Hold on tight then." Colby giggled as he wrapped his arms around the blonde and Sam wrapped his arms around the brunette. "Ready?" Colby whispered with a smile which made Sam nod. Not a moment later Colby took off making Sam scream and giggle. They flew over LA, Sam was mesmerised by the view below him whilst Colby was busy focusing on where he was going but he would still give Sam the occasional glance and smile.
(I've written a few more chapters but they suck. I don't know if I'll publish them. I'm such a terrible writer.)
