Writers block is actually something I rarely encounter. Writing is kinda a part of me, and I actually have to write. If I didn't write, I don't know what I would do all day, and my head is always coming up with new ideas and stories that I have to get down.

That being said, though I never get total writers block and am always working on something, I do get writers block for certain stories. It's not that I get stuck on a plot point or anything like that (I have this way of just coming up with simple solutions when I get stuck on something. This is actually not a good thing because simple solutions are often weak) but I lose inspiration. So I'm gonna give some tips on how to gain inspiration for stories you are not feeling as excited about anymore.

1. Listen to music like when I get stuck on the Anne With An E script I am working on, I'll go on to YouTube and listen to it's soundtrack. For original stories, I usually make a playlist so I'll listen to those if I need to be re-inspired. I even have a Shirbert playlist for when I'm writing Shirbert scenes.

2. Make a Pinterest board put Pinterest to use and make a board for your story. I do this all the time and it's very fun. Character or story aesthetics are always fun to make as well

3. Watch a movie while this can also be a source of procrastination, it can also be a source of inspiration. I recommend watching movies that fall into the same genre of whatever story you are writing, or if you are writing a fanfic watch whatever that fanfic is a fanfic of. Or watch YouTube edits! When I'm writing Shirbert scenes I'll go and watch Shirbert edits on YouTube or Instagram

4. Write something else if you are feeling uninspired, it actually might help to take a break and go write something else. Or work on elements of the story, like character or plot development.

5. Take a break get out of the house, get away from your writing. Go get some exercise. You might come back with some brilliant ideas!

6. Struggle through or just write through your writers block. It's hard, but it can be done. It just isn't fun.
