Shelby and Papyrus just stared at eachother. Soon, Papyrus's face lit up in pure joy.
"Oh my... have I really done it? I've finally found myself a... HUMAN!"
Papyrus declared triumphantly. Shelby didn't know if to be scared or just to feel bad for him. Papyrus pointed at her happily.
"Human! You will not make it past this area! You will be captured by the Great Papyrus, and sent to the castle! Your soul will be used to break the barrier! Then Monsters will finally get to go see the surface!"
Papyrus said, rolling the R, and sounding quite triumphant. Papyrus pointed to the machine near him.
"This machine will create a path that will that will be random each time! Even I don't know what it'll create. But the tiles will be important! Pink tiles are safe! Red tiles are bad! Yellow tiles make you electrocuted! Green tiles make you battle a monster! Orange tiles make you orange scented! Blue tiles are water tiles! If you stepped on an orange tile, you can't walk on them! Also, if they're next to a yellow tile, it can electrocute you! And finally, purple tiles will slide you to the next tile, and are lemon scented! Any questions?" (THANK YOU UNDERTALE WIKI)
Papyrus rolled off all of the tiles, leaving Shelby completely confused.
"Um-"
"Great to hear it! Booting up!"
Papyrus said, ignoring her, and starting his machine. Shelby watched as the tiles flashed randomly, and then landed on a single pink path surrounded by red tiles. Shelby remembered that Pink was safe, and red was not, so she just walked over to Papyrus's side with no real difficulty. Papyrus looked at her dumb shocked.
"W-Well then human! You may have outpuzzled my puzzle, but my next puzzle will leave you confuzzled!"
He said, running off to the next area. Shelby, completely confused at this point, decided to wait a bit. Puzzles needed to be set up after all. She sat down against a tree, and pulled out her phone, and wanted to see if she could perhaps contact someone. Maybe Ross, or perhaps her family. Turning it on, she found her phone had decent service, so she decided to call Jess. The phone rang for a bit, before finding out the word UNAVAILABLE flashed on her screen for not just Jess, but Adam, Ross, and everybody else on the surface. She then realized the only other person who could receive the service down in the underground service was Cory. She sighed, and put her phone back in her backpack. She pulled herself to her feet, and kept walking forward, wondering what the next puzzle would be, only to find Papyrus yelling at a piece of paper on the ground. Shelby looked at the paper, which appeared to be word search.
"DANG IT SANS!"
Papyrus yelled. Shelby couldn't help but smile lightly at him before walking over to the puzzle.
"So... do I just need to solve the word search?"
Shelby asked. Papyrus looked at the smaller girl.
"Well... you see my lazy brother was supposed to be working on making his puzzles more puzzly, but clearly he has failed yet again. It is OK though human! I have a puzzle that will leave you confuzzled! Follow me!"
Papyrus said, leading Shelby to a grey patch of land that contrasted the white snow. Papyrus walked around to the other side, leaving Shelby on the entrance side. Papyrus grinned.
"This puzzle is an invisible maze! The walls are completely invisible! And if you do touch a wall, this orb-
Papyrus tossed a dark blue orb into the air.
