When in danger, our bodies react in different ways. Some fight back while others accept their defeat. This man who I've never met in my life was about to die because of me. Yet I had no emotion left in me to feel.
"Unlock the door, before I blow your brains out." I say slowly. He starts sweating from his forehead and slowly reaches for the locks on the door. I quickly pull it open and grab him by his tie, shoving him against the car hard. "You're going to answer a few questions for me. First, how many men does Dimirti have inside?" He clenches his jaw but doesn't respond. "Maybe you need a little more persuading?" I ask while trailing the gun down to his crotch and pointing the barrel just above the bulge in his pants.
"You have no idea who you're messing with, you bitch." He whispers, before reaching to hit me. I shoot him in the leg abruptly and he cries out in pain, before falling to his knees.
"Didn't your mother ever teach you how to respect women?" I hiss. He breathes out heavily. "Answer the question or the next one goes in your heart."
"I-I don't know. He has a lot. They keep coming and going. " He says quickly.
"Where's the girl?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about!" He exclaims.
"Cut the bullshit. Where is she?" I knee him in the gut and he doubles over in pain. He coughs and chuckles to himself, making my blood boil. I dig the heel of my shoe against his bullet wound and he groans in agony. "Where is Davina, answer me!"
"He keeps her close at all times, she's not allowed to leave the mansion. There's no way you can get to her." He spits.
"You seem to underestimate me." I scoff, before finally shooting him in the chest. His body jolts from the pressure of the bullet before it falls to the floor. A pool of blood begins to form on the gravel underneath him. I look down at my hands which are shaking at this point. I'm so angry I can barely breathe right. I pull my hoodie down lower and glance around quickly, before running off and getting back into the car. I start the engine and quickly pull onto the road.
My knuckles grip the wheel with irritation. I'm so tired of this constant cycle of being lied and manipulated to. Worst of all, betrayed. It's time I take my power into my own hands and get what I deserve. Even If I have to drop a few bodies on the way.
It's true what they say, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
I step on the gas and watch the red needle on the speedometer jump until I'm certain there's the coast is clear.

After a long day of work, I decided to take a breather and check on things at one of the clubs I own downtown. The same one that was shot up by that idiot who worked for Iris. That didn't stop business from booming as usual, the place is incredibly crowded with paying customers. Just how I like it.
I still remember my reaction when I figured Anaya out. I was outraged and I wanted to kill her. Now that I think about it, I laugh. A woman like her can't be killed without putting up a good fight. It's funny, she cheated on me, lied to me, and had the chance to end me, but she didn't. She knew every detail about me, but never ended up disclosing it all to her boss. Even now Iris only has what she forced out of Anaya, which isn't much. If she had enough to take me down she would've by now. But instead, she's hiding like a coward.
