That Time of The Month

"No!" Darren screamed. "Emma and I are 15 years old!" Yeah, me and JK are a year older than the both of them, it's not that big a difference. "Sorry it just looks like you are", I apologized.

He rolled his eyes, "It's a promise ring." I gasped and squealed. "That's adorable! Take it Emma!" She laughed as JK watched me like I was crazy.

"Is it bad that I get excited about that stuff?" I asked defensively.

Darren slid the ring on to Emma's finger and I grabbed Juan Karlos' arm and squealed. "You're really short. How tall are you?" He suddenly asked.

I was gonna answer until I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. Stupid time of the month. It's been 2 days since I had this and I haven't had cramps, until now.

"I have to go sit", I struggled to walk without feeling like someone just punched me in the stomach. Did I mention that sometimes, I really hate being a girl?

I waved them off as I watched Emma sob over how sweet Darren was. It's adorable and amazing how they can feel that way when they've just known each other for two weeks.

Okay so I shouldn't be talking because I'm dating JK, but it feels like we've been through a lot together, jumping bacon, me climbing a balcony and almost killing myself, our first kiss, so fricking much.

"Okay ka lang?" Jk asked, looks concerned. I nodded, "I'm fine. Pagod lang." He slipped his hand into mine and leaned back on the chair. "May period ka ano?" He blurted out. I covered his mouth and smiled at Darren and Emma who were silently laughing at us.

"Hoy! Badtrip ka talaga ano?! Private matters po yan hindi pwede sabihin sa kung sino sino lang!" His face was red and he was doubled over laughing. I rolled my eyes.

"Nakakainis ka. Baka patayin kita", I threatened. (sorry if I spelled that wrong I'm tired and too lazy to change it) He instantly stopped laughing and sent me a glare.

"Emma get better already so we can go home and I can hide from this idiot", I pointed to JK. He laughed and ruffled my hair. "You know, boyfriends usually help the girl through this, but you just ruffle my hair. Wow greatest guy ever", I said flatly. 

Emma let out a gasp. "Boyfriend?" She screeched. Juan Karlos and I shared an awkward look. "Uh, no?" I tried to stifle my laugh. "Were you even gonna tell me?!" I nodded, "Once you were out the hospital. Fangirling isn't good for the ill", I laughed. 

She started squealing and then gave Darren a peck on the lips. Celebratory much? "I want one too!" Juan Karlos smiled. I kissed his forehead. "I think I like that more than a cheek kiss", he said. 

"I can't believe this! You're fighting one second and then the next, you're dating." She laughed. I didn't even notice Darren was lying next to her. "You guys act like you're married." JK commented. 

I shrugged, "It's cute, but you really do though." Darren just stuck out his tongue and cuddle into Emma. I laughed, but started to feel pain in my stomach again. "Okay, maybe you two should go home", Emma suggested. 

"No", I breathed out. "I'm staying." Darren shook his head, "You should really go home before that gets worse. You're already very sassy, wouldn't want to increase that." I laughed and nodded. "Thanks, I'll be back though, I promise." She nodded and pointed to Patrick and Lynelle, "Do they want to come too?"

Lynelle and Patrick both looked up and nodded. I gave Emma and Darren hugs and Karlos and him fist pumped. "Is it cool to call you babe now?" Juan Karlos asked once we were out the door. "No, that name is so cliche." He gave me puppy dogs eyes and I sighed. "Whatever makes you happy", I said flatly.

He cheered and put his arm around me. "Best girlfriend ever." I grabbed Lynelle's hand and JK grabbed Patricks. 

"You guys are so ew", Patrick said. Lynelle nodded, agreeing with him.

(At Home)

I was casually sitting on JK's couch until a pile of blankets and pillows were thrown on top of me. "Movie time!" I emerged from the blankets, looking like a mess. I heard squealing and cheering coming from under the pillows that dropped on the ground.

"Yay!" Lynelle yelled. They started setting up a small fort as I attempted to fix my hair. "I hate you sometimes", I announced to JK.  "Babe, calm down pwede?"

I collapsed on the couch and groaned. "I hate this." He took a seat beside me and flicked my forehead. "Get it together Gonzalez!"

"Shut up Labajo!" Lynelle and Patrick were taking pictures of us on Juan Karlos' phone. "Good job guys, I'll be posing those later!" I couldn't help but laugh at their cuteness. "Send them to me too, you're not the only one with a phone." I mentioned. 

"Wait can we see?" Lynelle gave Juan Karlos his phone and I smiled. We were facing each other, with a pretty good amount of distance from each other and smiling. I like it. "What's that vibrating?" Lynelle asked. I looked around and saw Ms. Danielle calling. "Come to the orphanage. Now." Something about her tone told me that something was up, and it wasn't good.

"Okay."
