Hold It In

A New Replacement

"I'm Sydney", I replied. She looked between me and Juan Karlos and wiggled her eyebrows. "Oh", I laughed.  "We're not dating."

"Anymore. We're not dating anymore", he corrected.

"That's so cute", she said. She didn't seem to have her attention on us though. "Darren!" She screamed, running over and wrapping her arms around him. Emma laughed and stepped away from them a bit.

"You guys know each other?" Juan Karlos asked. "Yeah. She used to go to school with me in Canada", Darren smiled. He put his arm around her shoulders and they laughed. "Don't worry though. I don't like like him", she winked at Emma.

Emma gave her a thumbs up and another girl came running our way. She  a nasty look on her face and it was bringing me down.

"Oh hey Kristianna", Ruth greeted. She rolled her eyes, "I've been looking all over for you! Where the hell were you? You know I hate waiting!" She yelled. We were all wide eyed at her little explosion and she looked at Emma.

"What the hell are you looking at?" She spat. Emma put on a fake smile. "Oh nothing. Just some pathetic creature standing right in front of me", she snapped back.

Buuuuuurrrnnnnnn. Not really, but she's my basically my sister, I have to support her.

Kristianna was about to say another snotty comment until she saw Juan Karlos. "Hi, I'm Kristianna", she said all flirty. She twirled her hair around and batted her eye lashes.

Oh she's done it. Beasty Sydney's about to come ouuuuut.

"Okay that's enough. Let's go home", I nervously laughed, pulling Juan Karlos with me. Kristianna yanked him back with her and glared at me. "He can stay if he wants."

I shot Juan Karlos a look and he merely shrugged. "Don't you want to stay and explore with me?" She pouted.

What the hell?! Pouting at Juan Karlos to get what I want was my thing!

I frowned at him and he gave me an apologetic look. "Sure", he spoke hesitantly. I secretly rolled my eyes and started walking back to the exit.

If this is how he wants to play it, then fine.

I walked out and saw Nicolo sitting on the steps. "Hey", he waved. I gave him a small smile and sat down next to him. "Are you alright?" I asked quietly.

He blushed and pushed his glasses up a little bit. I really have to admit that Nicolo was really cute, hot clothes or not.

What am I saying? He's my best friend. "I'm fine. I have a small phobia of rats though", he explained. I nodded. "What about you? You seem kind of down. It's depressing me", he scrunched his nose adorably.

I laughed and shrugged. "Juan Karlos, another girl. You know how that turns out." He sighed and wrapped one arm around my shoulder.

"Sydney, don't be dumb. If he doesn't see how great you are then he's not the one. Use your brain, if he knows that you still have feelings for him but he leaves with another girl, then he's obviously not for you", he sassed.

"Maybe the one for you is right in front of you", he muttered. I furrowed my eyebrows. "What?"

Nicolo frowned a bit and shook his head. "Nothing. It was nothing."

"Sydney!" Emma screamed. "They ki-" Darren covered her face and dragged her back inside. Great. They fricking kissed.

"Oh wow", I commented. Nicolo patted me head and smiled. "You'll be okay. It's just a boy", he laughed. "And you girl, will not cry over a boy", he snapped his fingers in a z formation.

I bit my lip to suppress my laughter as Juan Karlos and Kristianna come out, laughing. I rolled my eyes and looked over at Nicolo.

"Quick! Put your arm around me and start laughing like I said something funny", I whispered quickly. He nodded and slung his arm around me and burst out laughing.

My laughter was actually real because Nicolo looked like an idiot.

Ruth, Darren, and Emma came out running towards us, Darren almost tripping during the process. Ruth stumbled on top of my lap and Darren fell on Nicolo's.

"Well hi there", I laughed. Nicolo's eyed widened at Darren and Darren flashed him and smile and rolled of of his lap. "Sorry about that", he added quickly. Ruth got off of my lap and frowned.

"I like you guys", she trailed off. Darren, Nicolo, Emma, and I exchanged looks and huddled up. "Is she worth it?" Nicolo whispered. "She seems nice, and funny", I added. We all gave each other a nod and turned back around. "Okay, we like you too!" Emma squealed.

Ruth screamed and gave us all huge bear hugs.

At least we have a new replacement for Juan Karlos. I looked over at him and saw Kristianna batting her eyelashes at Juan Karlos. And he seemed to like it.

It seems he has a new replacement for me too.
