While Eli did come out of nowhere and now with wife and children, all of his concerns for her were genuine, full of awe, and apologetic after learning the past feelings for him that Ria had. Kharis feels some type of way about his half-brother charming her into acceptance, but Ria assures that all of past feelings are exactly that.
Eventually, she proves it when they go on a date after teleporting to a place of his choosing more his size for a fun time, with the occasional playing intermingled inside.
A: You know you're lucky I'm letting you do this.
K: Maybe so. But, I wasn't too worried since I know you like it.
A: You better not tell anyone I do. Seriously; it might start another war.
K: Oh, come on. I'm just having fun. It's been a while since I've held you like this, Ria.
A: I know that, and I've missed you, too. But, do you have to shake me so hard?
K: I'm not hurting you, am I?
A: No, but I'm not a potion bottle!
K: I don't know. Those curves say otherwise.
A: Goodness, Ris. What are you trying to do to me?
K: Get some giggles out of you, and apparently I'm succeeding.
