Eliara, despite her blazing fervor, was one of the many to always tremble under the gaze of Queen Carice. This, too, would've been one of those times... if she was willing to give her the time of day. Her mind, only tiny in volume, drifted toward other things and other hopes.
"Even so, young goldfinch," the queen sighed, "I'll be honest in saying I didn't think I'd find you back here." Eliara could only agree.
She figured she'd lift all of her worries off her back after leaving that ring behind, yet here she was back in a cage by her own choosing.
