I sit down, waiting for the others. Of course, Kyle is the first to step in, sitting next to me. How much can this man grow anymore? Goddamnit! Why am I the midget? Like, even Kenny is taller than me! And Wendy! Why am I the midget?
"I'm afraid I have shitty news," he says.
Oh my god. What does this guy not get? I thought his voice was what it was going to be last year, nope, it went even lower.
"Me too," I say.
Wendy walks into the compartment.
"Sorry I'm late, Heidi was super happy about choosing to ask Lizzy to a dance? Apparently this year Hogwarts is having a dance to rise the spirits," Wendy says.
"Nooooooo," Kyle lets out.
He puts his face into his hands, looking ready to damn cry.
"Hello," Kenny says.
He comes in. Puberty. Be kind to me too, please, for ones. Why am I the one getting the shit parts of puberty?
"Oh wow," Kyle mutters.
"Your gay is showing," Wendy says.
Kyle laughs and Kenny sits across from Kyle.
"So this dance thing," I say.
They all look at me.
"Is it possible it's actually a literal distraction?" I ask.
"What do you mean by that?" Wendy asks.
"A distraction, as in something happens while that happens," I say.
"Why do you think it would be one?" Kyle asks.
I shrug.
"I might be wrong but I actually believe there are some followers as professors and quite a lot in the ministry. Would it be possible all this is a distraction while they do something?" I ask.
Kyle looks at me.
"You just might be right," he mutters.
He takes a paper from his bag.
"Now. We have news. Don't we?" Kyle asks.
We all nod.
"Okay," Kyle says.
"May I please start?" Wendy asks.
I nod and she takes out a letter.
"They're trying to get me in, recruiting Slytherins," She says.
She shows us the letter.
"So I decided to ask my friends... Heidi promised that if we need it badly, she'll be our insider," she says.
"She's cool," Kyle says.
"Sure is," Wendy says.
I rise my hand next.
"Okay," I start.
I put my hands on the bench.
"The Tucker's neighbour's we're murdered," I say.
The all look surprised.
"My Mother is missing, has been for nearly a month now. I wrote to the ministry, they are saying they won't look into this because of multiple very stupid reasons. I believe someone there did it," I say.
Then I pull my feet towards me.
"Lastly, an Azkaban escapee has been 'found' but there are no more people in the damn prison. So either, trial hasn't been done though the muggles have been told such thing or he hasn't been even found," I say.
"I saw those news and wrote Kyle about him. He died years ago," Kenny says.
"Why would they-?" I ask.
"To earn trust from the muggles," Kyle says.
My eyes go wide.
"May I?" Kenny asks.
I nod.
"Getting to you from Galway. We helped nearly 50 muggleborns and Squibs our of the country, only 16 have made it, for sure, safely, 14 have died and the last 20 have not reported or been reported dead," Kenny says.
Kyle nods.
"Lastly, you," I say.
"We found a few non-corrupt people to help with the safe house, we were bound to this," Kyle says.
"You can't possibly mean-," Wendy says.
"Unbreakable vow? Yeah, we did it," Kyle says.
Wendy sighs.
"You are in it?" Kenny asks.
Kyle nods.
"I vow to never reveal the location to anyone I don't trust or believe needs help unless I'm forced by some kind of magic," Kyle says.
He laughs.
"I vow to never reveal the secrets keeper unless some magic makes it impossible for me not to. That is, unless the other people have made this vow," Kyle says.
He takes a deep breath.
"I vow to die protecting this location if needed and if no other options are possible," Kyle says.
Kenny, Wendy and I look at him like he were crazy.
"I vow to not back away until this project is ready, even if that means I'm in an another country, I must look for a possible way to protect everyone until it's completely, You May take a break but if you don't do it ones a day, you've broken the vow," Kyle says.
Those are so damn specific.
"I vow to give my life protecting someone who can't protect themselves if I have to," Kyle says.
"Holy shit," Kenny says.
"I vow to not stop working until this possible war is over," Kyle says.
"Kyle. What the hell did you agree to?" Wendy asks.
"And I vow to be on the side of muggles, Squibs and muggleborn as long as i have the choice," Kyle says.
Kenny looks at him.
"Look. We all chose these vows. We are going to be revolutionary and if anything, we are going to be that constantly," Kyle says.
He smiles and rolls his eyes.
"It will be ready by.... November, I would say. We discovered a lot had to be done the muggle way so it wouldn't be easy to find," Kyle says.
"What are you saying?" I ask.
"It's underground. We had to make the walls strong ourselves, with our hands. 12 hours a day, work work work work," Kyle says.
"Kyle... you won't need to do work constantly," I say.
"What about when the war starts, we don't have time then," Kyle says.
He gets up.
"I will lay down my life if that is what this will lead to, overworking is absolutely nothing," Kyle says.
"I knew you were passionate about rights but holy fuck," Wendy says.
Kyle laughs and bows.
"That's my thing! Bowing!" I say.
I bow as well. Everyone around starts laughing. You won't be laughing when you realise what this really is!
"Good," Wendy says.
Tricia, Karen and Ike come in.
