////Chapter 23////

Mina did see Seungwoo during class and she could tell that he was staring at her during the lecture. He even tried to talk to her, his friends waiting patiently behind him but Mina decided to leave in a hurry. She didn't want to deal with him. Alone, especially.

She sighed, her legs lazily bringing themselves home, her bag dangling on her side. Ahh, I don't want to go home yet, Mina thought. She glanced at the lit up store beside her, yearning for food. It was 12 in the morning but of course, there were convenience stores open still.

Mina walked in, the bell hung on the top ringing as she did so. The clerk smiled, before going back to his newspaper. She chuckled, looking for whatever snack she thinks will fill her craving.

"Chips." She decided grabbing the bag, her eyes were on the price before walking towards the counter. She was somewhat distracted hence why she didn't notice what in front of her. Mina then bumped into someone else, a huff leaving their mouth.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She stuttered, quickly bending down to grab the bag.

"Myoui Mina?"

Mina was taken back, she stood up straight and her eyes were laid on the one women who had been her idol for a long time. She almost fell back by the sudden encounter, "S-Seo-?"

The women smiled, and something about it reminded her of someone. "I've seen your dancing clips before, you could say I'm your personal fan." She chuckled, her expensive bag hanging loosely over her shoulders.

Mina's lips nervously twitched into a smile, "M-Ms. Seo-Yeon. I-I'm so surprised to see you here.." She muttered, her hands shaking either from excitement or just how nervous she was.

Seo-Yeon smiled, "How about you come with me? I'll treat you to some dinner. Of course right after I buy drinks." The women smiled, walking towards the shelves, her hands wrapping around a box filled with soju.

Mina stared, mindlessly, her eyes in a trance. Just then a voice called out to her, "Mina? Will you be buying that too?"

She looked down at her chips, before realizing she forgot to purchase her snack. Mina quickly nodded, following behind Seo-Yeon, waiting nervously in line. Mina was shocked and she's always dreamed of meeting her idol, one of the greatest perfumers out there.

Now she was going to have dinner with her. Mina was speechless.

"You're going to be hungover if you drink that much, you know that right?"

"This is only my second bottle." Chaeyoung scoffed, chugging the beverage down like it doesn't affect her. Which was true. Yeri sighed, sitting across from her friend.

"You know, my friend is earning a lot of money because of you." Yeri chuckled, "-You might just be buying their whole stock of soju."

Chaeyoung shrugged, her fingers lazily wrapped around the glass bottle, "I'm glad to help with the business." She sighed, taking another sip.

Yeri hummed, her hands grabbing onto the neck of the soju bottle, twirling it, "Is this because of-"

"Don't." Chaeyoung warned, disregarding Yeri's concern. The former grunted, standing up, placing a bill onto the wooden table. "Give this to your friend. Tell her I say good luck with the business." Chaeyoung smiled, leaving the building with a conscious mind.

Yeri sighed, grabbing the bill, shaking her head as she stared at the three bottles her friend drank, "I hope one day you'll forgive her."

"So, How is University?"

"I-It's great." Mina smiled, poking at her food as she shyly looked into Seo-Yeon's eyes. The women sitting in front of her had a very good posture. It was so obvious that this perfumer was a proper business women.

Seo-Yeon laughed, her smile was so motherly, something Mina hasn't seen in a while, "I've seen your dancing before, you're so good! I'm not even surprised why so many people know you." She giggled.

Mina looked away, her cheeks red from the compliments, "Thank you."

"I wish I was as talented as you are." Seo-Yeon sighed, crossing her arms as she leaned back on her chair.

"But you are!" Mina mentally slapped herself, considering she just embarassed herself, "-I-I mean. You're amazing at making perfume. All of your work, they're just, out of this world." Mina chuckled.

Seo-Yeon smiled, "Thank you. But they all mean something." Her motherly smile faded, her eyes fixated on her glass cup.

Mina tilted her head a bit, "Like what?"

"My collection, Missing. I've never told anyone this before-" Seo-Yeon lips curved into a sad smile, "-But that collection meant a lot to me. I was missing someone who used to be a part of my life. Someone who was very important to me."

Mina now noticed the tears forming in the CEO's eyes, quickly grabbing a tissue and passing it to her. To which the latter smiled at, genuinely. "That's why it means so much to you.." Mina felt sympathy, her emotions towards that perfume changing as it meant much more than it's sweetened scent.

Seo-Yeon looked up, hastily wiping away her light tears, "Have you lost someone before?"

Mina was taken back by the question, her hands slightly trembling but she didn't know from what. Was it because she might open up to someone? A mistake she made years ago, a mistake she heavily regrets. "Y-Yes." She stuttered, failing to keep her smile.

Seo-Yeon saw the hesitation, her palms instantly hovering over Mina's hands, "You don't need to tell me. Just keep this in mind Mina-" She had this motherly smile again, so comforting and warm. It all seemed to familiar. Like she's seen it before.

"-Some people introduced to our lives, are either a blessing or a lesson. It's up to us to decide that."
