////Chapter 44////

Her hand wondered aimlessly over the white bed sheet, feeling nothing but the cold fabric brushing her skin. She hummed, hoping to find the warmth that she felt last night but nothing came to her.

"Mina?" Chaeyoung muttered, her stomach laying comfortable on the semi-large bed. She groaned, turning herself over, her vision coming clear when she rubbed her eyes. "Where did she go.." Chaeyoung muttered, sitting up ever so slightly.

She raised her arms over her head and stretched, only to retract quickly when she felt pain smack her back. Chaeyoung winced, her fingers attempting to trail her back only for her to jerk again at the sudden stinging feeling. "Ouch." She mumbled.

"Morning sleepy head." A voice entered. It was sweet and barely raspy. Chaeyoung turned to the door and a smile graced her face as she could see Mina, leaning on the door frame.

"Morning Minari." She giggled. Her torso was still bare, so Mina was quite aware that Chaeyoung was still naked. But compared to her, Mina had much more marks around her body. With that in mind, Mina blushed a bit, remembering how Chaeyoung completely took control last night.

"H-How are you?" Mina stuttered, approaching the bed slowly. In small movement, she sat down on the mattress, her eyebrow raising as she could see Chaeyoung wince every once and a while. "Everything ok?"

Chaeyoung nodded, "Yeah. Just-my back hurts a lot." She pouted, turning around to show her bare back. Mina's eyes widened and she saw red streaks running down the younger girl's back, she felt guilty and at the same time embarrassed.

Mina's fingers trailed carefully on the scratch marks, her cheeks flushed red, "I-I'm sorry. It must hurt a lot." She cleared her throat, and Chaeyoung sensed the guilt mixed in her voice. Instantly, the younger girl snapped around and chuckled.

"Well, it does but it's a little unfair." Chaeyoung hummed, crossing her arms.

"What is?" Mina arched an eyebrow.

"I mean, You got to leave scratches on me." Chaeyoung huffed, "But you seem to walk just fine. Which wasn't really my goal last night." She winked though noticed that Mina didn't really get it until after a few minutes.

The older girl blushed a tad bit, slapping Chaeyoung's arm who only chuckled at the cute realization. "Are you kidding me? I almost fell over when I woke up and tried to stand." Mina muttered, looking away, "I-It's all your fault that I have trouble walking properly now.."

Chaeyoung giggled, nuzzling her face into the crook of Mina's neck. The latter froze due to the sudden gesture but quickly gained composure and relaxed. They let the silence envelope the two of them, their smiles not leaving their faces.

This is what love really is. Chaeyoung wondered, her fingers intertwining with Mina's, who only sighed in bliss. After the comfortable silence, the younger of the two spoke up first, "So today. I'm meeting up with Seo-yeon."

Mina let go, looking down at Chaeyoung, "Your mom?"

"Who else." Chaeyoung muttered, grabbing her nearby sweater and pulling it over her body. She was already wearing sweatpants so, Mina didn't have to worry about looking away. Though, looking away would be pretty useless at this point. "I'm just scared."

Mina looked up at Chaeyoung, who stood up from the bed, "Of what?" Mina met Chaeyoung's tone of voice, soft and almost fragile like. The former stood up, standing behind the younger girl who seemed troubled.
